Genuinely hate this narrative. I guarantee there is a lot of managers that would love a gig at managing us. If you can’t get Into the premier league your next best bet is the bottom 3 that just got relegated.
-
The fact a new manager is being discussed tells me he’s going no where. You would think a new DOF would want a say in a new manager.
-
Just to be clear what season did we just clear charges for 22/23? But now being penalised for 23/24, I’m getting lost in years with so many charges. Also, fully expect this to impact our managerial decision for next year now, the same way it did at the beginning of this year with many managers not willing to come to us due to the looming points deduction.

I would love to know how much we breached by. I could moan about the board but we all share the same view at least I hope we do. The one this does scream though is the premier league got embarrassed and want to embarrass the club first in return with their new rules. As others have stated there seems to be quiet an obvious argument in return that the new rule change stated “moving forward” not that it can charge historic prior to the rule change.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

And as I stated in my original post, on the ball yes your points are true, but off the ball I honestly don’t believe that is the case. He talks about fitness implying we aren’t fit enough to play the high press he wants yet completely dropped McAteer for several weeks when you could argue his best quality is his work rate. Then to replace him with Ayew who can’t be arsed half the time. That’s not fitness that’s decision making. I actually love the standards Ruud sets, it’s old school and refreshing. However, what he states and what gets shown in his decision making and the play on the pitch are completely different and shouldn’t be ignored. Implementing a solid defensive structure and a good press can be implemented at any level of football, I just don’t buy it. -
Respectfully at what point do you and your employer move you out of the spotlight, most wouldn’t even be arsed if he moved position as long as he isn’t in charge of running the football club and making the decisions he’s making.

I had a similar conversation with someone at the game yesterday, for me I think Ruud gets excused at times as a result of the poor transfer window. With the time Ruud has had he should have been able to implement a style/identity. On the ball the lack of recruitment can effect how Ruud wants to play, however, off the ball this is where a manager can lay the ground works prior to getting the players he feels he needs. Off the ball we’ve been atrocious. The press has been poor, the structure in midfield has been poor and the shape of the backline until recently was very poor. All these factors for me are something a manager can implement in the time frame Ruud has had. -
Would be more interested in Daniel Ballard of the two Sunderland centre backs personally, but it’s interesting that we appear to be monitoring the free agent market. It’s about time we did.

The club security near him during vardy’s send off tells me the club know how the fans are feeling.

LCFC 2-0 Ipswich, post-match thread

The one that was nice to see yesterday was the class of Ricardo. I know we all know he has that ability, but when he’s had such a poor year with injuries seeing him come on and make it look so easy is class. -
Be interesting to see what happens with the wingers next season, we’ve got Stephy, Fatawu, McAteer, Ayew, BDR, Alves, Monga and Evans. That’s 8 options to fill 5 spots realistically. Be interesting to see which 3 will leave unless a few move into the No.10 role with Bilal likely to move on. Could Ayew and Monga move into the No.10 position permanently?
-
Kept Hutchinson quiet today speaks volumes of his development.
-
Today he came across potentially one of the strongest right backs he will play against in a long time and didn’t shy away at all. The fact that towards the end of the game Tuanzebe just stood off him rather than attempting to bully him off the ball spoke volumes. He’s ready for regular first team football, now it comes down to getting his education done and managing expectation early on which could mean limiting minutes to some degree.
-
I would be surprised to be honest, by the time he’s fit it’s like a new manager will already have a clear idea of who they prefer at that position.
-
Direct attacking approach with a high press something that identifies well with this football club. I’m all for it. IF we can get promotion back to the prem, his style of football is what sides like Bournemouth and Villa have had huge success with over possession based football.

I have an awful feeling they are going to stick with him if they beat Ipswich on Sunday. -
I thought we signed him to a 5 year contract, stupid that we didn’t.
-
Saudi clubs interested once a relegation clause is included. Brill.
-
Hasn’t he got like 4 years left on his contract? The club won’t sell cheap, is there any likelihood Chelsea offer £20-£30m for a lad that’s barely played mens football? I doubt it. Would be surprised to see us accept anything less.
-
Not one of my favourite options but heavier focus with getting forward in counter attacks at a higher level compared to Dyche for me.
-
Marco Rose Urs Fischer Will Still Lee Carsley Miron Muslic Danny Rohl That should be the shortlist imo.
