Ruud Van Nistelrooy - Sacked - Official
Bluearmyfox28 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Maybe willing to pay compensation for Rohl in the new financial year, so take the hit of sacking Ruud under this financial year? Or maybe Coady’s been sold and they’ve used that money to sack Ruud under this financial year? -

Even in our current mess we are worth more than £100m. -
Reverse the question, what in your opinion would have been a good job with regards to Rohl and his time at Sheffield Wednesday? The same question goes to everyone stating Rohl accomplished nothing / did okay. He picked a team up that was buried, almost guaranteed for relegation, saved them. That exact same squad he got within touching distance of the play offs most of the season until squad depth from the big clubs paid off. What I find intriguing is people want Dyche because he gets players and teams grafting. Yet Rohl had one of the hardest working teams in the championship during his time there, he managed to motivate players to work their socks off when they wasn’t even getting paid, in today’s game that’s one hell of an accomplishment.

The timings and news of everything coming out at the minute really does make me think Rohl is going to be the next in charge. Rohl is trying to mutually consent to ending his contract, all his staff are out of contract something our club will be keen on. Rumours that they are happy to start with Kingy as interim manager, is that because they are willing to wait for Rohl?

So you’re saying you wouldn’t want a manager that’s good enough to manage one of the top 7 and also brought in £10m compensation? I find these type of comments odd, if he gets poached it means he’s done an amazing job with us. This is the type of manager we should be consistently going for.
-
After this if we end up with Dyche then I might have finally lost all love for the club hahaha
-
I do find it odd that so many were so vocal to not have a passing football philosophy in charge of the club yet are happy to have someone cling onto a 1-0 lead with 11 men behind the ball with 30 minutes still to play.

A building doesn’t dictate a mentality or atmosphere, leadership structure and standards does. That comes from the top (pardon the pun). -
Exactly this, his principles and beliefs are correct the problem is his football is absolutely dog water!
-
I’ll be honest I personally think we’ve sounded people out but approached no one yet. The board respect Ruud for the way he’s dealt with everything so I can’t see approaches being made until he’s officially sacked. Wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t either Dyche or Rohl. Im just clinging onto straws that @FoxinNotts isn’t selling us an imaginary thoughts with regards to Rohl.
-
I’m genuinely so surprised how many want Dyche, the one thing we all said we wanted was a player who could work and improve with youth, yet we then want Dyche? His style literally has zero flair and all about grit, that’s Alves, Monga and Evans all done for before you even look deeper into what he prefers. The assessment that we need a manager who can provide standards and give the players the rocket that they need is fair enough. But there’s so many managers out there that do the exact same with an attacking philosophy, at the top of my head Richie Wellens being a prime example. We are so narrow minded when it comes to these things and with regards to Dyche’s previous times in the championship, the league has changed so much in terms of style and capability since he was last in it. This appointment would put us back so many years and likely lose us several of our golden generation coming through.

Sorry if this is me being stupid but what do you mean by this? Fans not appreciating Dyches ability or taking links to Dyche to serious?
-
I can just see the conversation: Outline of purpose for the conversation, somehow leading to a conversation about horses in passing comment, Top then going off on a tangent for 20/30 minutes about how great polo is, both then realise they’ve mismanaged their diaries and schedule for the conversation to happen the next day. Rinse and repeat.

Very interesting. I’ve shared a few times over the past year, I’ve previously been informed from someone with close ties to the club, that Top cleared the clubs debt to make the club more attractive on the market for potential buyers. The club wasn’t necessarily for sale but willing to listen to offers supposedly. Intriguing to see if this is a domino effect. -

I’m sorry but what response do you expect when you have someone preferring to keep “friends” in a job despite killing OUR club. Someone who’s seen laughing and making us look stupid on national television during some of our toughest times. Someone who somehow managed to make it about him and how hard done by he was the first time we got relegated. If you poke a bear enough it’s going to get nasty. Do you want it to get nasty? Of course not, but who’s at fault for it getting nasty?! The blind sympathy for someone who appears to care less about you and me is insane. -
As much as I don’t want to make this another thread about Top, Rudkin and co. This would put the nail in the coffin for this board room. If the rumours are true about Top wanting to go one direction and Rudkin wanting to go another, it displays that the duo will never be successful. In any business whether that’s sports, everyday businesses whatever it may be, if people at the top are not aligned and don’t share the same vision of how to move forward then it’s a disaster waiting to happen. In our case the disaster is ongoing and the fact some people are still sleeping on this is astonishing to me.

So I decided to watch some Dyche/Burnley highlights of when they was in the championship, (don’t advise this) to see if Dyche’s style varied in the championship compared to premier league football. In short, it didn’t. I came away thinking if they didn’t have prime Danny Ings they wouldn’t have gone up. No winger took on their man nor did a full back overlap, the plan was simple… lump crosses into the box at the soonest opportunity in hope Vokes will get on the end of it with Ings lurking for scraps. I always love the Coaches Voice as you get a close insight into how a manger see’s their own philosophy, yet Dyche even manages to make this seem very boring and uninspiring. Honeslty believe with this current playing squad (Pro’s and youngsters) as well as the atmosphere among fans currently, Dyche in my opinion would be one of the worse selections available to us currently.

Please for once just pay the money and get the best option. As others have stated if they haven’t learnt from Corberan I’ll be in even further disbelief which is the most likely outcome.
-
18 years? I’m 28 years old…
-
Do we need another attacking midfielder?
-
He’s had an absolute stinker there!
-
Has Top and Rudkin ever actually appointed a foreign manager without experience in the English leagues?
-
Exactly what I am thinking, they would have sounded out agents and that’s it if they’re waiting.
-
I find this very hard to believe unless he has a job lined up already. With everything going on at sheff wed owner I’m sure he would love a chance out.
