  1. Well that’s solely dependent on the agreement made.
  2. Which agency represent Rohl?
  3. Just hope these recent rumours are to put pressure on Rohl or sheff wed to get things done.
  4. Didn’t he basically confirm Dyche around a week ago?
  5. Don’t worry I didn’t think you was, and it would be fine if you was hahaha. Agree completely.
  6. Dyche was reported to be on around £80k a week at Everton. The salary I put in for him is a significant reduction. Also important to remember Rohl doesn’t have much room for negotiating if he wants an immediate job.
  7. So what does that tell you…. If we go with Dyche that’s because of who they want, not because “he’s the cheaper option”.
  8. One thing that appears to get ignored a lot is the finances behind appointments. Just because you are paying compensation doesn’t mean he’s more expensive. Within football, incomings are often viewed from a total package… initial cost, and wages across the entirety of the deal. Let’s give an example: Dyche will probably want around £40,000 - 50,000 a week. On a Three year contract that’ll cost the club £6,240,000 - £7,800,000 in a total package. Rohl will likely want around £20,000 - £25,000 a week. On a three year contract that’ll cost the club £3,120,000 - £3,900,000. You then have to include compensation cost, if we going on the higher end of £2.5m, that’ll bring the total cost across 3 years to £5,600,000 - £6,400,000. Breaking that down to yearly cost for PSR purposes, going on the higher scale of wages and compo for Rohl he would cost £2,133,000 per year. If we compare that to the lower wage scale of £40,000 for Dyche, which would be a significant wage cut from him, that would cost the club £2,080,000 per year. That makes a difference of £53,000 per year. The reality is, the talk of free agents being cheaper is a myth in football. Ultimately, the man who’s appointed will be the man the board thinks is best unless they appoint Kingy.
  9. Anyone watching the game today and still has the conclusion that Dyche is the right man has lost their minds in my opinion.
  10. Genuine question though, If we play a 4-2-3-1 does a box to box midfielder work? Got me wondering where Page would fit in with the first team? He’s looked class.
  11. Anyone know if Cartwright was available for today? Was intrigued to see him.
  12. I genuinely think Page is just making himself more available and running rings around his own teammate
  13. These academy lads are showing up the pro’s…. All the first team players have looked poor and been outperformed.
  14. Did Peterborough make any changes?
  15. Extended leave due to international break. Same as the other internationals.
  16. Don’t tease me.
  17. Just my opinion that at least at this stage of his career he would be better as a No.10/second striker.
  18. Yeah looks like his future could be done here doesn’t it.
  19. That ability can be a huge asset for No.10’s as well though, making late runs into the box, running behind when the striker drops deep. His height and size will see him go missing often in games due to opposition physicality, playing in gaps and free spaces whilst running behind would suit him imo.
  20. I think for me he needs to play behind a striker, we lack options in that role especially if Bilal leaves, that’s where I think his future is. Especially if we end up sticking to the pressing in a 4-4-2.
  21. Based on that first half a key emphasis appears to be pressing from the front, similar to last season with us pressing in a 4-4-2, for a first pre season game we looked good, lack of creativity in the final third still apparent though. Jakub - Nothing to do, distribution has been meh. Ricky - Looks premier league standard in the inverted role. Okoli - Stopped multiple counter attacks, very solid and comfortable. Nelson - Potentailly our best centre back at the club. Thomas - Comfortable, tucking in more to firm up the back four. Winks - don’t like the guy but he looks a class above. Skipp - Appears his confidence is completely shot. Wanya - Dribbling ability is so clear to see, just lacks any end product. Golding - Has such a weird dribbling style, it makes him look uncomfortable but makes it work. I struggle to see him breaking through. Mavs - Looks like he has a point to prove, him and winks have been our best players. Evans - Tidy work in retaining possession. I looks like a no.10 to me not a forward.
  22. Despite everything that’s gone on, I’m actually buzzing to watch some football again.
  23. What I don’t understand is if we are willing to pay the fee then what is the hold up?
  24. I said it playfully, so let’s not stir pots now…
  25. I’m very appreciative of the information you give mate, I don’t lose sleep over it. But let’s be honest with each other you have stated on multiple occasions the deal is done. if I remember you also said you expected it to be announced within 48 hours at the beginning of the week because it was done…. My point is your tone is very different.
