It is inept management, an example of this our midfield pairing. As was said by someone earlier, James, as great as he has been, often leaves Skipp massively exposed, we also do not have an out and out ‘10’. James skill set would be perfect in the KDH role with Enzo, with a deep sitter and another runner, and it would allow him to be deep enough where he can have an impact (in attacking mid he often gets lost) and provide cover for when he flies up the pitch, instead we just essentially leave Skipp to it and I honestly believe a large chunk of threat against us comes from this, and it makes our already iffy defense look even worse and wide open

Think the most effort goes into the pressers from our managers, trying to keep the fans onside despite absolutely nothing actually happening behind the scenes- wouldn’t even be shocked if he is saying this to try to prompt something happening *he being marti in the press today

Think Alves, Braybrooke, Cartwright, Joseph and Aluko will be bled in, maybe Evans, but think the rest, maybe including Evans, will be on loan (TWB hopefully in L1, the rest probably in L2). Still a very good position from this point forward view to be in, means we are less dependant on our terrible transfer activity. Only good thing about the place right now is the academy, think it’s top 5/10 in the country atm

He’ll be ok in France with Monaco, will hit his strengths, just don’t think the English leagues suited him, way too physical. He is decent on the ball and in a good side will be able to get away far more wit the lapses in concentration, whereas here you have no time or room for error, people at your back constantly getting the shoulder in. My prediction is he is a backup at the World Cup in the summer and ends up at Monaco for a few years as their 3rd choice/european cb. Stupid question I’m sure but how does that work out? Genuinely did not know this, I’d assumed any money whilst still a loss would be better than just releasing the player. PSR is such a confusing mess to the layman

Any fee would be a net positive for PSR as apposed to keeping him, it would just mean less of a loss which still frees up funds

Think the academy has proved pretty massively from the days of King and Schlupp. You are right that per academy class you can’t expect more than two or three but the listed players have a large spread of ages across 7ish years, I think from that 10 at least 6/7 make good championship/premier league careers- Page, Aluko, Braybrooke, Nelson, Monga all look around the level needed for championship already (Aluko may be a stretch). Others will begin lower down and rise, for example Callum Elder starts a good amount for Derby who are a solid championship side, Johansson at Stoke, and we don’t consider them because they don’t hit their stride here and haven’t made an impact in the prem
