Think he came into a squad that just lost its star player, in his area of the pitch, and along with that lost a lot of its identity and promotion manager, late in the window, barely got a kick until we were practically all but gone, had to play through two managers the first of which was not particularly welcomed. Not defending the fact he played poorly last year but it’s hardly a space for anyone to flourish, think we can all see Mavididi as an example is way better than last years production. Give him another year at a lower level. He’s only 24 too.

Bamford is not going to be paid a big wage you’d have to imagine. Purely as a backup in case our main striker gets hurt so we aren’t reliant on Patson Spaka or a 16 year old if we can do it for fairly cheap on a one year rental why not

If we get a half decent striker think that team would be right up at the top end of the league, but with absolutely 0 preparation for potential promotion(which I would hope would be one or two Fatawu type signings), so I’m very 50/50

Height size and where he plays as well as his style of playing. You can get away with being smaller if you aren’t on the ball surrounded by players

Think he’s more likely to do well in Scotland, Braybrooke is to little for the way they play up there and I think would do better in a 6 role for a possession side in England

Him and Monga if things go the best they possibly could are the next 15 years on the wings, exciting times, our academy is by so far the best thing about the club, production vs standard of the club has to be one of the top 3/4 in the country, we consider Thomas and Choudhury iffy and they will be minimum very good championship players, that’s the ceilings for most academies even in the prem

Winks isn’t good enough to be a prem starter in my opinion but he is way too good in the championship for us to ship out considering some of the other players on similar wages. Him in the 6 this year and next year we find someone with similar ball skills and a touch more physicality

As an absolute backup on low wages and a 1/2 year contract I wouldn’t hate, if he is our only striker signing its terrible… surely we should be throwing whatever we can at Brownhill if BEK is on his way

I mean if that is right and there isn’t a release clause, sell Wilf for 9m and Hermansen for 30m, rumours of Coady for up to 4m, don’t see the need to sell him for anything that isn’t extortionate. We don’t need to replace Hermansen just find a couple of bargain backups on low money then reinvest in a striker, pretty comfortable with that squad to go up, plus any money from moving on the guys who think they’re above this level (Soumare, Faes, Kristiansen etc). Should just take the Ipswich stance on Hutchinson

I know someone who works closely with him fairly regularly and talks a fair amount to him, haven’t spoken to them in a month or so but last I heard he is happy to be here and doesn’t want to move on, pinch of salt as I’d imagine if an obvious upgrade comes in it’ll change things but doesn’t sound like he wants to go… funnily the guy also works with Woyo too
