They just announced a £12m profit. They can afford to spend big next season and what’s more is that they now have high quality saleable assets (Murillo, Gibbs-White, Anderson) to keep bank rolling them in addition to UCL money. They won’t be champions league regulars but they will quickly become a sustainable top half premier league side.

No, you get rid and look around Scandinavia/Belgium or league one/two for a good young goalkeeper to be a no.2 for Jakob.
-
Worth saying if Forest win every game, they equal our 81 points from 2016
-
If God forbid Reform did get into power, they could pull up the drawbridge and watch the economy collapse or carry on as normal and hope they don’t get called out for being liars.

Funds are not and have never been the issue. It’s the way funds are utilised and spaffed away.

I’ll be putting a bet on this evening that Bardella will be the next president of France (provided he doesn’t get disqualified too).
-
Le Pen banned from running for president. I can’t imagine that’s going to go down well.
-
They’ve got quite a smooth running off field thing going on there. Their ground is much more conveniently located than ours and their corporate facilities are a lot better. They also probably pay overseas players a lot less than us.
-
Think MCFC have looked close to where they want to be this second half.
-
Setting up a justgiving page so Bilo can get PTSD therapy when Forest win the thing. PM me to contribute.

They’re going to win it and qualify for the champions league. Their defence is too good not to. I’ve already come to terms with it. It’s going to be sickening.

There has to be a reason why repeated managers refuse to play our young players.

This game is a damning indictment of the state of football as a whole. Just dreadful overcoached nonsense.

Bangkok is quite a way from the epicentre so its alarming structures are falling down like that.

Hull were vile against us last season. Proper spoilers

I fear this just gives Putin incentive to prolong the war. Basically gives him even less reason to agree to a ceasefire.

Only the British and French are willing to send troops, and with an American backstop. The idea is that the Russians daren't attack Ukraine again because the British and French have nukes. It would be interesting to see if we would threaten to nuke Russia if they break the agreement.

Really good article by Andrew Marr on where we are with ourselves and Ukraine. Basically explains the points I’ve tried to make on these pages but in a much better way https://www.newstatesman.com/international-politics/2025/03/peacekeepers-world-without-peace-andrew-marr-starmer-ukraine ”But rebuilding European security is a long game. For now, we desperately need the Nato umbrella. This year, and next, our strategic ambition should be to avoid war with a mobilised if bleeding Russia, while enabling some kind of independent Ukraine to survive. That is going to be difficult enough. Public opinion has perhaps not yet woken up fully to the seriousness of where we are. So, we need maximum candour, and clarity about the hard realities, not rhetoric about – or preparation for – a war we cannot yet fight” Ps I don’t think we should ever go to war with a nuclear power unless absolutely necessary, I like to think that the Russians feels the same way.

I don’t think people realise how awful freezing universal credit payments is.

Joe Allen doing the worst defending ever seen. North Macedonian’s 3 minutes later: hold my skopsko…

What an unreal through ball by Joe Allen, he’s still got it!

This would cause the parliamentary crisis that we deserve. Just in response to your reply yesterday, I think a lot of people feel liberal democracy is failing them even if the alternative is obviously worse. The worse living standards get, the more people are likely to reject the system.
