There’s been a lot of games where he could’ve made a difference in the last 20. If not goal scoring then pressing and connecting, and giving more space for our wingers and Facundo. At the moment Vardy is completely out of the game.

Currently in a recruitment phase for a new nhs post. I have been ready to start for 3 weeks and served my notice in my other role. As I am changing trusts, I have to do their local induction. They put these inductions on once a month and the November intake was full. Therefore I couldn’t do my induction until December, so at least four weeks of lost work. HR (or people management) would not budge on this at all, despite myself and my line manager going apeshit about it. And I’m not even frontline, the same thing is for doctors and nurses too. So there’s likely hundreds of weeks of frontline work lost due to some mad OTT bureaucracy.

Hasn’t he pretty strongly denounced project 2025?

The one really interesting thing on foreign policy that I read is that Vance is the first Iraq veteran to hold a big post. The thesis being that the trauma’s for those are so great that they hate the interventionist approach to foreign policy. So we are definitely moving into new territory. Hopefully the neocon days are over and the scars of Bush can finally be laid to rest.

Don’t think he necessarily takes a dig. It’s just demonstrating the people care more about their finances than any perceived prejudices.

People really underestimate how different the USA is compared not only to the UK, but to the rest of Europe. You could walk from the deepest part of Sicily to the most northern part of Norway and you’d find more commonality than you would with Floridians. Americans on the whole are just really inherently selfish and conservative, which is not a surprise given it’s not even 250 years old. Moral grandstanding and catastrophising is literally the reason why this stuff happens. The Democrats did not sufficiently do enough to win the trust of the population. And I really do believe that the democrats lost this election rather than Trump winning it. They are a pathetic party that have put up three pathetically bad candidates (Biden was too old, Clinton deeply unpopular, Harris just wasn’t ready) in past three elections. Time for some fresh blood and a reassessment of how they can bounce back as they should be winning in 2028.

Yeah it can’t. Ukraine is heavily reliant on American and German funding, and they’re the two countries most invested in the end of the war and Ukraine not in NATO. You only have to see how bad things got when the funding was held up in congress in spring.
-
I feel bad for women and minorities in America but the democrats absolutely had this coming. Pathetic bunch of losers. Maybe politicians will start offering actual policy again now.
-
Like others have said, Ukraine is basically finished and there will be a massive escalation in the Middle East.
-
Probably good for Gallant’s career though. Someone will need to takeover once BN is in jail.
-
It’s a shame we don’t play Man City for another 10 games
-
If Trump wins, the Ukraine war ends pretty fast (which is bad and good given the trajectory) but I dread to think what happens in the Middle East, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that he nukes Iran.

Brentford deserve that loss.

This fella spat at a referee the other week, got a five match stadium ban, then appealed it 🤣
-
I don’t want us to get relegated but I can’t see how anyone enjoys this league more than the championship.
-
Absolutely. Climate change being the worst example.

I’m glad you’ve been honest here. One thing I do disagree with though, OBrian is a pathetic centrist (and not the good type you get on here)! In politics the truth is subjective. You can conjure whatever state you want to support your arguments. Our whole economic models are built subjectively. There are little absolute truths.
-
The Harris campaign has been the epitome of this. Celebs talking down to people while offering nothing other than “vote for me to save democracy”.
-
Ipswich were the recipients of the worst ever refereeing performance in the 2000 play offs against Bolton. If any game was corrupted, it was that one. 24 years on, they have no right to be complaining about officiating decisions.
-
Yeah that was Hamilton/Schumacher/Senna-esque.

I don’t know how, but there’s reason to think we can get something out of this game. A) we’re pretty much always in games (in the league at least) B) Amorim plays a particular way, that is going to take time to bed in. -
And that’s exactly what makes weather, crashes (providing nobody gets hurt) and random moments much more exciting than the status quo.

A 2-3 for Alpine is sensational.

The state of the commentary in these highlights. One of the worst tackles you’ll see and it’s somehow the referee that has ruined the cup tie. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cn8lyj757wlt
