Why are we so bellicose when it comes to Russia? It seems that we’re willing to do things that even the Americans don’t feel comfortable with. And it’s cross party too. Is it blowback from the Skripal poisonings? Either way, I’m not sure the British public is going to be too enthusiastic about us firing missiles into Russia but I suppose it’s ‘morally the right thing to do’.

They’re further to the right because they’re allowing Reeves to dictate policy, she is arguably as right as Osbourne was. We don’t need radical socialism but we do need investment in the state, infrastructure and housing, and it’s going to take out of the box thinking that they just don’t have. It’s the same old growth before investment rather than investing to grow. Basically reinforcing every problem that has kept Western European economies stagnant for decades.

My biggest gripe is that my Facebook warrior family members who regularly complain about scroungers and benefit stealers, are now complaining about having their fuel allowance taken away (despite owning their own houses). I agree with others that it’s bad policy and exceptionally unfair and tough for those near the cut off, but the system has suited those at the older end of the spectrum for decades now. Economic realignment and redistribution to support those that will be fueling this country for the next 50 years is drastically needed.

The one thing about the trial that I do find a bit off is that the defence didn’t use the statistics of deaths/serious incidents for when Letby was off shift, as they were of a similar number? I suspect a few people that work in the healthcare field may also be suspicious as NHS managers routinely throw their staff under the bus when malpractice has occurred under their watch. Despite this, the evidence does seem overwhelming that she was guilty and she killed those poor children.

I think if Sri Lanka had a couple more warm up games then they could’ve well won the series. Think they’d be very difficult to beat on home soil where the pitches are easier to bat on.
