  1. Why isn’t Green playing? What do they honestly think Roman Walker can offer that he can’t?
  2. There are people on the left and right who are called Putin sympathisers who oppose confrontation with them, but the centre ground majority are united in the idea that Russia is an enemy and any compromise with them is surrender, the only way is to militarily crush them. If Ukraine run out of men, then we will have to do it. Some days I agree, some days I don’t. We say these things will never happen until they do. In October 2022, Russia was days away from using nuclear weapons against Ukrainian troops, they chickened out thankfully. But this can spiral out of control faster than you think. Even if Trump withdraws which I think may happen soon, France and the UK will go to war with Russia because we have nukes, therefore we think they wouldn’t possibly fight us.
  3. I wish. Usually the dooming is on the main LCFC forums. The world is an evil place. If nuclear apocalypse doesn’t get us first, climate degradation will unless the Chinese finally get this nuclear fission energy thing going.
  4. Maybe there would be a de-escalation before, but mindsets are so entrenched now. Do you think Putin would back track? Do you think the British government would settle for an Ukraine defeat at this point, or would we be forced to escalate to save face. Our government would rather have a nuclear war v Russia than to compromise.
  5. If Putin wanted full territorial control over Ukraine, he’d mobilise the country which he hasn’t. He obviously wants political control which is a completely different matter and doesn’t necessarily have to be done by military means, rather strategic patience. I just can’t see a compromise at this point. Putin wants to push the end on his terms, Trump wants to end the war at any cost, Ukraine don’t want to cede anything, European countries want Ukraine to keep fighting to deplete Russia further. There’s too many different variables. It’ll only get worse for Ukraine on the battlefield albeit slowly and at high cost for Russia. It’s good that these conversations are finally happening but it’s still more likely we end up in an inadvertent WW3/nuclear Armageddon than a sustainable peace. Time to stock up.
  6. I think it’s more desperation. The train is hurtling down the hill without any brakes and people can see that at this point the many opportunities to apply brakes have been squandered. We are now heading to oblivion.
  7. What’s the situation with the women’s team? I keep seeing people refer to it.
  8. Could you rebuild a destroyed house if the bricks were all ashes? That’s the cards he’s dealing.
  9. He is the last person to blame here. Literally the last.
  10. Crimea would be one of the easier things to negotiate I reckon. Trump keeps going on about land but it’s all about keeping Ukraine out of the west for Putin. We’ll get a compromise soon but I can’t see anything better than a ‘Korean war’ frozen scenario.
  11. So sorry to hear that, it makes sense that you’re scared and it’s ok to feel anxious about the unknown. The not knowing is the worst part but hopefully your proactively will leave you in a position where you can get through this as soon as possible. If you’re struggling mentally, please open up to others, my DM’s are always open too.
  12. Usually means a fire alarm has gone off somewhere.
  13. Trump can play hardman all he likes but he LOVES Putin, he’s his ideal man, domestic capital king with an authoritarian streak. He’s kinda the same with Xi but Xi is a bit more normal.
  14. So we’re now at the point of people wanting to overturn his majesty’s court of law when there’s a jury outcome that they don’t like? We’ve lost the plot.
  15. He just ‘truthed’ that he spoke to the ‘highly respected leader of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko’ 🤣🤣
  16. If we can wangle our way up to 300, we have a chance, it seems a very two paced pitch.
  17. Just cannot see how Leeds can watch his reel from last season and think “yep, that’s what we need to stay up”
  18. Obviously I’m glad they can’t spend it because of Abdul, but the rules are an utter disgrace when you look at what Villa and Newcastle are having to do this summer. PSR was a complete scam to maintain the status quo.
  19. Some of the conference league aways would be epic in the new format. Imagine our lads in Yerevan.
  20. Leicestershire opener survive the first over challenge.
  21. Even in a worse case scenario, there’s no chance we finish in the bottom half. You’re underestimating how bad the league is.
  22. Surely one of the most overrated players in the game?
  23. I wouldn’t be bothered about immediate promotion, I want a strategy that makes the club sustainable, able to rebuild something and bring everyone back together.
  24. Chansiri is a terrible owner for all the well known reasons but at least he communicates with the fans. A bit of honest intentions would go a long way. There’s lots of theories but ultimately it’s that the owner simply doesn’t care. The club is not his priority, it’s an asset. And an asset that is crumbling under a lack of care.
  25. Hopefully the club will be liquidated before this happens.
