Since then they’ve lost more combined land since 2022. Merz, Macron and Starmer are all lame ducks, their populations HATE them. I was saying this a year ago and it’s only got worse for Ukraine. If they reject what Trump is offering them, and Ukraine are well within their rights to do so, it’ll only get worse as they literally have no one left to mobilise. Of course we could join the fight but I highly doubt that will happen or be popular.

Both Russia and Western Europe are utterly screwed. Both have terrible demographics, both have strategically pathetic leaders.

The EU is currently a lot worse than when we left. The holy trinity of Von Der Leyen, Costa and Kallas are an embarrassment and should be nowhere near their positions. Stay well clear. NATO yes, closer economic integration, yes. Rejoin? Not until there’s better leadership.

His whole life story is one of overcoming adversity, pushing through when times are tough etc. he really really got given a tough pack of cards. It reflects in his game, sometimes you see the doubt and self criticism seep in, but at other times you see a crazy ability to hang in there in a way that other players just can’t do. In that last frame he knew he could just out do Trump, who is a much more talented shot maker but not all around player. Predictably Trump cracked and Selby cleared up.
