  1. If so, not a bad thing to be
  2. Wood really is excellent, been scoring consistently for so long now
  3. I think this is right and it's why I disagree with people who think that a spell of being properly shite will do us good because it'll drive away the more apathetic portions of the fanbase. The apathetic fans are exactly that - apathetic. They demonstrably couldn't really care less about who runs us, who the manager and players are and if results or performances are bad. They turn up, queue for their drinks, clap a bit, go home on 85 minutes because that is their routine and it won't change whether we're non-league or Champions League.
  4. Can't remember who but as someone said in the match thread, he's like Harry Kane without being good at literally any of the things Harry Kane is good at. The bit where he made his sole positive contribution in skinning someone and then, instead of cutting it back for a teammate (I think Winks?) to score, doubled back and shot from a basically impossible angle summed him up. Also taking pointless pot shots from distance again, which some people were really pleased about against Wednesday for some reason, and monopolising our set pieces despite being tragic at them and both our goals last week coming when someone else took over. Insists on slowing down every attack he's involved in to his own glacial pace. Useless, selfish waster.
  5. Even if that is the case then I don't think he's the thick **** in the situation because that's not how you say his name
  6. Not the only one but he should be genuinely ashamed of that performance and the club should be equally ashamed that we've started the season with this utter plank as our starting "striker"
  7. Give him the armband
  8. Please get that fat useless whopper off set pieces
  9. Nothing irrational about it
  10. Coady getting absolutely bullied and Ward contorting himself to allow the ball to go through him, business as usual
  11. Capology is generally regarded by football finance types (your Kieran Maguires, your Stefan Borsons) as complete nonsense I think. If we're accepting Winks is on 90k then we're also accepting Fatawu and Mavididi are on 10k each which even accounting for relegation wage drops I think is very unlikely
  12. Not his debut but it was his first start, and then he scored again in the cup on his second start later in the same week so we probably were all quite excited. Didn't score for us again, naturally
  13. I don't know about immediate fan favourite, and it was about as good as it got for both of them, but Casadei and Tete scored on their debuts
  14. Yeah exactly. The calls for the youngsters are largely because lots of the senior players are crap, on too much money relative to what they contribute and thus need getting rid of wherever possible. Hamza is one such player and the fact he's an academy graduate means it makes more sense to sell him, not less.
  15. I wasn't there and I can remember it, so now we just need someone who was there but can't remember it and we've got all bases covered
  16. I don't think we'll be anywhere near bad enough to go down but I definitely think, especially with one or two more key departures and not a great deal of activity in the other direction, we may well be bad enough for it to be another really unenjoyable slog of a season
  17. This is Faes' fourth season here and there are still people who can't pronounce his first or last name, though granted there are some who get around that by just booing him instead
  18. They can and did on Monday, when the answer was he got injured on international duty and will be out for "some weeks". It seems unlikely the situation will have changed a great deal since then
  19. Maybe not, but talking about his "showing" i.e. ten minutes off the bench for the reserves like it's going to drive his price down or put potential suitors off doesn't make a great deal of sense I don't think
  20. I thought he was crap, particularly in the first half when he was fortunate that Nelson was having a nightmare and taking the spotlight off him constantly tripping over the ball. One of our many players with no discernible strengths
  21. Can only hope the fact he wasn't is a precursor to him being dropped on Saturday, same with Soumare getting the full 90. Makes the Mendy and Ndidi partnership look like Xavi and Iniesta
  22. I certainly don't have any confidence we'll buy anyone even if we do make more sales. A couple of loans and/or frees late on in the window maybe but I don't think we'll come close to doing what we need to
  23. Alarm bells must already be ringing for him with how the window's going and the performance/application levels from some of the more established senior players. I think he's got a massive job on his hands and I hope he's capable of doing it (start by abandoning the Soumare + Skipp midfield please) but I'm already worried the environment around him is just completely ****ed.
  24. While he's here and the alternatives are Skipp and Soumare, he needs to start
