Same answer to both of you. Yes relegation will be in the clause as you would expect. But being sacked in may, June or July will have no bearing on his pay out. The only reason we are waiting is so the payment is in next years accounts and not this year's.

It's nothing to do with a clause. Why would anyone sign a contract that said. If we sack you in may you get 5m (example) but after June 16th you get 2m. It's purely down to psr if and when we do sack him. We don't want a 1.5 to 3m payment on this year's figures. July the first it goes on next year's figures.
