I would like to think we are sounding out higher profile out of work managers already. If we pull the trigger first we could end up in a worse position than we are in now.

I doubt very much cooper was first or second choice target. I would bet we sounded out a lot of higher profile/better managers. But the situation the club had put itself in they refused to even talk to us. This whole shitshow is down to the directors miss management and plain stupidity on there behalf. They have screwed it up over the last 3/4yrs. As much as I want him gone and never here in the first place. It's far from his fault. We've been well and truly butt fvcked by miss management at the top and by Top. We still don't know if we broke psr last season. Even if we didn't we still have the 3yr rolling figure that will still get us before the end of the season. Until our finances are compliant I don't see us getting much better.

You really are missing the point massively. In 2015/16 season before a ball was kicked where did us and the bookies think we would finish? Relegated 17th or 14th again. Did we through 100m at it? No but we won it. Everyone of the established squads were valued way above ours. But things fell into place A team full of believers in what they were doing. A team that gave 110% every game. A team that fought for each other and the cause. A manager happy to let them play the way they ended the previous season so well. One that supported the whole set up and treated the players like family. As I said it's not squad value. It's what they give you and what the manager gives them. We've seen glimpses of how they can play in a shackled defensive set up. None of us know as a team how they can play in a more open and counter attacking set up. Going back to your first sentence we should be aiming for mid table or higher. Get it wrong you should still be in the prem. Aim for 17th and get it wrong and you're gone.

I really don't get this squad valuation bollox. We are living proof that money is not everything. Beating utd start of the great escape season. Upto then the only prem team to beat them once they had a 2 goal lead. Actually staying up that season. Then 2016. Mahrez 450k Vardy 1m Vardy one of the best strikers in prem history. 11 on the bounce and still breaking one record every time he scores. Utd spent hundreds of millions and are miles away from being what they once was. Spuds hundreds of millions and they would be happy to win a fvcking raffle right now. 17m for McQuire was a fair price. 80m sale was a fvcking joke as most on here would have sold him at 35m. Idiots and money soon part and sending big don't mean your getting the best player for you. The manager and players attitude are way more important than what you've paid for them.

You really don't have to be an expert. Just look at what his performances have shown us. Whoever we play in the prem. Plan A. Defend (once behind) Plan B play a more open attacking game ( fingers X we can do enough to get a draw) I guess when Brian Clough said attack is the best form of defence he had no clue either. The longer you spend defending your own 18yd box the greater the chance the opposition will score. Also the greater chance someone will make a mistake gifting them a goal.
