This, but the two better performing players were tiring (one injury, one lack of game time).
So what were the options? No Ramsay. No decent No.6.
So unless he had Page on the bench (his choice) what else could he do?
Can someone on here define a dive?
From my perspective he jumped out of a tackle, (maybe he was going to dive) the tackle was good (no foul) but the player’s follow through clearly hit Monga’s thigh (injuring him).
So…
Is jumping out of a tackle but not getting hit a dive?
Is the action to dive enough? What if you plan to dive but get proper clattered (Vardy style)?
Or is feigning contact a dive?
Yours confused….
I’m not saying it’s not a hand ball, but it’s not a goal line clearance, or denying a goal scoring opportunity. It was at the corner of the penalty area. It’s a stupidly excessive punishment for such an infringement.
I’m with whichever podcaster always says a ‘handball’ like that should not be a penalty… it’s just a stupidly excessive punishment compared to the ‘crime’.
I feel every time I watch the women’s team, they do so well and hold out for so long… then let a couple of goals in when they just can’t hold on any longer…
Hopefully be different today.
So much vitriol on here for an error and weak red!
Imagine a forward player getting a red in the first half… should never be forgiven! And forced out of the club!!
