They obviously hadn’t sold as many as previous seasons and had a lot of people not renew, but like I said, there is no chance only half of the people renewed and the above doesn’t really add any logic to suggest otherwise. This is a pure guess, but I’d say a max of 5k didn’t renew.

See the thing with some of this, while I wouldn’t say I don’t give a shit about us complying with FFP, it’s pretty obvious to me that the question should actually be “can you guarantee the current owners can absorb the loses needed to ensure we actually have a football club in 5 years and how”. Id be shocked if this hasn’t been asked, and I do get that publishing questions like this leads to speculation, but that’s the question surely.

No idea on sports bars but as far as things to do in Boston, so far I’ve got… Freedom trail walk- it’s mapped on the pavement and guides you around key historical areas/buildings. Whale watching tours- booked onto one of these and it’s about €70 I think which in the grand scheme of things isn’t too bad for the states. Salem is a short train ride away. You’ve got Quicy (I think) market which looks like it’s got a decent variety of food. I’m there from Tuesday night so I can let you know. The fan zone might be a good place to watch a game but you need to pre register to get in and even then it’s first come first serve. I’m watching USA’s first game in there, terrified of the ultras after seeing the videos this week.

£1000 is probably on the low end, in my old job we used to see footballers details a bit and that’s probably about league 2 level but yeah, we are going to be paying astronomical wages for this level. Being rumoured to be selling off the stadium and training ground isn’t enough of a red flag for some people apparently. If we are that much of an attractive proposition, why hasn’t someone invested £100m for a share of the club? Some people might say that they will be waiting for us to go into administration which might be true, or it might just be that nobody has an interest in signing up to instantly haemorrhage £150-£200m just to get us straight, ignoring the cost of an entire squad rebuilt.

And borrowed Premier League TV money when they are in league 1, and have a world class training ground which will eat up half of their income a year just in running costs etc etc etc
