I didn’t think they really spoke highly of Dimi Gray, they more spoke about him getting pranked, always being late etc but didn’t give him any praise as such. 10 miler done. Other than the usual mental battle of 5k in telling myself there is no point as I’ll never manage a full marathon, I really enjoyed it. These new trainers feel really quick. I think I’ll be aiming for 5m30 KMs next week if I can hang on but today I was pretty easily doing 5ms and having to focus on slowing myself down.

I don’t plan to because I’m travelling the day before it and the taping will probably only last 24 hours. I’m doing a 10 miler tomorrow and will try to strap it up so hopefully I’ll be sorted as I’ve had no major ill effects after running twice in 2 days.

Got myself to a physio yesterday and I think my knee has started to ease off a bit. She wasn’t overly concerned but gave me a few exercises and showed me how to strap my knee up to minimise the impact which should help. My new trainers arrived yesterday as well so I went out for what I was thinking would be a steady 5k but did alright. Also had my race number for next week and it says “senior male” on it which is a little bit brutal considering I’m not 40 yet 😂
