I get your points. But tbh I didn't mind Vardy showing a bit of ring rust. He's come back and has hardly had a touch of the ball. Barnes should have started the first game at Watford though. He ended the first part of the season in cracking form...he would have been up to speed by now. I think Ndidi looks pretty slow still but showed glimpses of his high standards.

If it wasn't for Kasper we would have 0 points in league since restart and got pumped 3 nil today. I hope the rest of the team start realising that. Look at Chelsea today. Lampard hooked the 'young prospects' without hesitation. You have to earn your stripes. Our lot have a free ride at the minute. I'm wishing Brendan had a bit more of a temper at the moment.

2 players who look a bit rusty are Barnes and Vardy. Neither have had much of the ball in the first 2 games so understandable. Much better performance so far. Amazing to see people running beyond Vardy looking for the ball.

I don't think maddison gets ahead of Pogba or Fernandez. They would put 2 of our defence in probably. I personally don't base anything on a rumour. I use my eyes to see a physically weak footballer who's been average since Christmas and is yet to have a good game against a top side.

You're right. Decent form doesn't last forever.....with United....it only needs to last about 6 more games! I suppose you think Liverpool will just randomly start losing game after game too based on that logic? Barring Wilf....would any of our midfield start for United? At the moment Vardy wouldn't get a game.

Calling United bang average and then saying we can pump Spurs. Sheffield United. Everton & United ?? Have you watched any football since Christmas? If it's that easy we would have at least forced the Brighton keeper into a save in the last game. Minus the villa game....we have had trouble scoring. Major trouble. Burnley. Southampton. Norwich. Brighton. Watford.....just a few of the teams we haven't troubled recently.

I admire the optimism and agree the managers experience will really help. But there is a simple flip side to your argument. If it wasn't for some wonderful goal keeping we could have lost both games. Against Brighton we didn't even test the keeper. We have played 2 relegation threatened teams and looked pants. Everton away is tough. Our run in is very tough. What's to say wolves and United can't go on a run? Have a look at Uniteds remaining fixtures. It's not that people don't see the 6 point gap......it's more that people see how fragile it is.....and how quickly it's reducing.

Look at players like pulisic tonight. Pace. Composure. No coasting. No show boating or thinking more about cameras. Desire and need to play to a high level. Nobody in our midfield could score the goal he did today

We haven't got any game changers. There isn't one player to take someone on or to try something out of the ordinary. Our version of that is maddison.. which is him basically trying a pass that is never on. He's no KDB, or Rashford or Bruno Fernandez. Or Son. Or pulisic coming off the bench for Chelsea. He's so far behind the players we are competing against in the top 4. We need some experience. Someone in the middle to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Johnny has helped us be that at the back....but we lack that in the midfield.

Given madders long enough. He can't dictate a game and is so weak physically still despite having plenty of time to adapt to this level. So over rated. Tilemans was better at moving the ball when he came on. We were so brittle in attack that all we did was pass backwards.

Madison. Classic 3/10 performance today. Thinks he's worth 70 million?!!!

Comparing our team to these two....we are miles behind for speed and also how quick they transition the ball

During our purple patch...a lot of people pointed out that we were wildly out performing our XG. All of a sudden we don't even create that many clear cut chances. I think Vardy will go through one of his bare patches now too (I obviously home not!)

The first time chilwell went forward was when the final whistle went !!!
