Kante Mahrez and Drinkwater didn't come in with loads of hype. People barely knew who they were. They were spotted doing an amazing job and then went on to other clubs...... People who we sign today would see those an example of how to use us to get noticed.

There were 2 moments yesterday that reminded me of why maddison annoys me so much. Perez got the ball turned. Rode 2 challenges and took a foul on the 3rd. Normally Maddison would have gone down on the first challenge.....the difference....Perez has us 20 yards closer to goal! The second was Tilemans having 2 challenges come in and with a single movement was running toward the goal and looking up. Much prefer a bit of adventure.

Who the hell would sign them?? We will want 70 for chilwell and he's worth about 25. Maddison is welcome to leave and warm the bench at any top 5 club if he wants. This is exactly what is wrong with our club. We've become a stepping stone for these young players who don't have the bottle or desire to win. They don't have the character to take a game by the scruff the neck and go for it. They're amazing when you're 4 nil up. Go 2 down and they melt. The Jesse Lingard generation as I call them. It's fashion brand and being seen in London when the NFL is town.....or you knuckle down and keep yourself focussed on the sport (TAA and Robertson of Liverpool spring to mind)

His/our recruitment had cost us. Bennet is not a top 4 team player. JJ (who I actually like) came from league 1....what were they realistically expecting from him? We signed yet another central midfielder (Praet) when we had plenty already. Did we really need Ayozre Perez for £30m?!!! We have no pace in that midfield. Nothing at all about our team is explosive. There is not a single player who can produce a bit of magic from nowhere.

Wolves. United. Chelsea Sheff United. All ahead of us in the pecking order for 5th. I wouldn't even bother looking at the announcement. We lack the ability to turn around games. We like a dynamic attacking approach and have no plan b. Can you imagine how badly we would get pumped in the UCL?!

So looks like big Wes at the back for the last 3 games of the season...... 0 points here we come!!!

A note on this kid tonight. Such a credit .......got hooked and could have easily thrown his toys out of the pram.....instead he sprinted off and high 5d the guys coming on. Shakes managers hand....no moaning or throwing stuff around. Up until that point he was playing well and would have every right to sulk. He's a life lesson about persistence, hard work and determination at the moment. So happy for him. I love that he plays for us.

Being realistic..... We won't smash these. I'm hoping we can scrape a win. But they're organised. Well drilled and tactically aware of how to beat teams like us. We are out of ideas. Since the restart we have scored 2 goals...one was a worldy from a defender and the other hit the striker in the face and went in. At this time scrutiny is much higher on manager and players etc as we look so crap.....but that exchange between the manager and Praet in the drinks break was odd to me. It didn't for one second look like a player who fears his manager. It looked like a manager who became pals with everyone when the times were good......and when you need to show authority it gets sour. The story of our last 6 years.

Before people come on here saying we bossed it.....no. We had a lot of possession. We didn't test the keeper in the last 15/20 mins. Absolutely useless. Can't put a simple pass or shot on target. Every game since restart the whistle has gone whilst we are aimlessly passing it around. Never when we test a keeper or have a shot at goal. Wonder what will happen today.

One tactical tweak from ancelotti and it totally nullified our threat.
