Reluctant to say this as I’ll be struck down by an injury / illness soon no doubt, but feeling as though I’m making great progress recently. I’ve switched my watch to base my HR zones based on %LTHR and I’ve set up a plan on Runna and feel as though I’m flying. Hoping to get some elevation in this week’s long run to try and prepare for the Leicestershire half in a few weeks. This time last year I’d maybe ran 25 miles in my entire adult life. Since starting running in August I’ve managed to put a 45 minute 10k in and get out for about 20-30 miles a week. A bit annoyed I didn’t give it a more serious go in my 20s tbh. Could anyone recommend recovery shakes? I’m having a protein shake after my runs but I don’t think they’re specifically recovery shakes. Wouldn’t mind trying something that targets recovery. -
Encountered a fair few middle lane willy pullers yesterday. Particularly those that want to do around 80mph but only in the middle lane. If you pull out to overtake someone who is ahead of you in the left lane, they’ll slow down but refuse to overtake you. Driving seems such a chore nowadays with the standard of driving so low. Bring on driverless cars.

Ridiculous that they’re saying it happened before the ball came into play. What’s an attacker supposed to do then? Get floored before the ball comes into play and live with it?

If the Spurs goal was a defender kicking through a striker like that, it’d be a penalty wouldn’t it? It’d get given, I’m sure they’ve been given.

I am. We need our alien overlords to save us.

He’s an awful keeper. He’ll go on to play in a champions league semi final or something.

I don’t keep myself up to date well with AI but I’m pretty sure a lot of people underestimate it because of their experience with ChatGPT. I’d imagine it’s way ahead of what we get our hands on, particularly as a free to use user?

He’s one of their own!!!! Just has a big **** off house in Stratford, not Nuneaton.

Coventry fans thought they had the league wrapped up at the end of October. Fireworks. The Enemy playing in the corner of their ground. Talk online of ground expansions. Doug King - man of the people. This is going to be glorious.

Last summer between May and July I walked a lot. I’m convinced it helped when I decided to start running. Was a case of feeling as though walking wasn’t really doing much for me anymore so I decided to go a bit quicker. -
Don’t watch many films, but watched Life of Chuck the other day and thought it was great. Really clever concept I thought.

Found a KPFC clapper.

I’m not sure where Pearson is health wise, but we’d have very little to lose giving him a go and let’s be honest - he’s the kind of manager that this lot wouldn’t want. I’m all for it.

They can’t be arsed. We’re such a passive fan base. Probably loads of middle aged folk with nothing better to do than sit on their arse and pass around werthers originals. It’s genuinely something to do / see family for some.

Absolutely minging

Me too and I reckon I’d struggle between picking De Vries or Ayew

I promise you you’ll never see a Leicester team worse than this.

Was thinking about the wind on my run earlier. It’s often said that if you get a headwind, it balances out when you go in the opposite direction. Never happens for me and it may be to do with the landscape where I live. Basically I get blasted by the wind in certain parts and then when I should have a good tail wind, I have nothing. I assume it’s due to being sheltered by houses and whatever else. Anyway, no bad thing as it’s effectively a multiplier on my effort and I should benefit from it when the weather picks up. -

Yeah I think I’m going to give it a go. My long runs for the next few weeks will incorporate race pace and about 500ft of elevation, so should be prepared enough. -

So the terrain isn't entirely tarmac? Was thinking of a hotel to avoid the parking / travelling over really early so if parking is crap that’s probably made my mind up on the hotel. -

Anyone done or planning to do the Leicestershire Half? Looks like there’s a fair amount of elevation. Will be my first half n all, so baptism of fire perhaps? -
The longer this goes on, the higher the chance of that. Keep him up there I say.
