Two of last seasons best players dropped. But it's OK because we've got a thirty year old Fulham reject that averages **** all goals a season.

**** off Cooper. Just **** off already.

Yeah he can get promoted to tier 4.

If we don't have money left over to spend at least this on a striker and attacking midfielder, I want Rudkin and Cooper fired in to the sun.

Someone remind me what Gustavo Hamer's release clause is.

I honestly think the AI on football manager makes better signings than us this year.

I ****ing hate posts like this. They always come across as a cross between tone deaf and completely patronising. People don't need to be told to support their team, especially not by a group that are supposed to represent them as supporters. But as well intentioned as sentiments like this are, what it actually comes across as is English, stuff upper lip, keep calm and carry on, blitz spirit bullshit. Which is exactly why Brits roll over for every authority figure trying to shaft them and just take it. People are justifiably angry, saying "oh yeah but just go and cheer anyway" is quite revolting when you stop and think about it. -

Nobody is suggesting it isn't his best position but we're not in an ideal situation and we've got to make a compromise somewhere. No, he isn't. He's a youngster that's probably currently about mid-table Championship and lacks in strength and speed. He might have a great career but he absolutely isn't ready to be leading the line for us. It would be a really stupid decision to pick him over Mavididi up front. -

Mavididi has played a good, I dunno, 40% (might even be closer to 50%) of his career playing down the middle. He's played there a fair bit in France. He's very quick, has good movement off the ball and finishes pretty well. I'd much rather him playing at 9 off the shoulder than Cannon, especially in a game like Spurs where you imagine we'll be countering a fair bit. A front three of BCDR, Fatawu and Mavididi will pose a lot more threat on the break than anything involving Cannon. -

It'll be: Mads Ricardo, Faes, Okoli, JJ Ndidi, Winks, Fatawu, BDCR, McAteer Mavididi Literally wouldn't have won the Championship with that team -

Hypothetical New Ownership- Who Would You Like?
Finnegan replied to niyaminski's topic in Leicester City Forum
The biggest reason Top selling terrifies me is the potential for much worse owners. In fact, I actually can't imagine many situations where it gets better. I think it's extremely likely that we'd end up getting sold to an American investment company with no interest in growing the club who only want to just milk cash from it like most other Americans invading European football. Tony Bloom or Matthew Benham aren't going to turn around, say "what am I doing with my life", sell up and buy Leicester instead are they? And there aren't any modern, progressive, intelligent, football minded billionaires lying around that happen to be Leicester fans that want to buy us as a passion project. The best case in a sporting sense is some unethical despot wants to buy us for sports washing and then we lose our club anyway, I'd be straight out. For me, naive as it is, I just hope Top learns. Grow a spine, get rid of Rudkin, look around at the clubs doing better than us and learn from them. All we have to do this year is survive at all costs and next season we'll be nearly entirely shot of our devastating FFP losses in a three year window, our amortisation will mostly be cleared up, our wage bill will be miniscule and we'll be set to do a West Ham and buy a squad again from scratch. The future doesn't have to be bleak but Top has got to snap, finally realise he can't keep letting Rudkin flounder around and that the club needs consistent direction between managers. Or he steps back from running the club and finds an experienced chairman to rebuild. Either way, I know people have no faith in any of that happening but I think a 39 year old CEO growing in to the role and becoming a better owner has more chance of happening than this miracle unicorn coming and buying LCFC.- 109 replies

Hlozek was the right target until an unfortunate series of events. Hoffenheim lost a player to injury at the same time as they got a lump sum windfall from Rutter.
-
So. Looking at just the credible sources here. There's a very real chance we've tried to do deals for Zaha, Ioannidis, Bergwijn, Hlozek, Nelson and Asprilla and we've failed at all of them? Great stuff. Even being realistic and accepting that it's normal for a football club to have several irons in the fire at once, this is bleak.
