I think the Cookie links are probably rubbish but if they're not I imagine he's been approached about the possibility of just taking over til the end of the season with King being his assistant. I don't think for one second the club would approach him as a long term solution. Don't see any likelihood he's in line for the director's job either. He's just an out of work, available, experienced coach that the club think can firefight til the end of the season when they'll look for someone permanent.
-
So basically, if we change absolutely everything then things will be different?
-
I'm someone that's told people repeatedly to stop calling for King as the manager because he's seriously lacking in experience and expecting him to be ready for the shit show of our club as a first senior job would be insane. With that said, he's not an idiot and he's extremely serious about progressing as a coach. He was doing the FAW coaching pathway for a while and they don't **** around. Whatever you think about Welsh football, the FAW have gone all in on coaching courses and are gaining recognition as one of the best in Europe. He's had a pretty solid education up to now, he's not just going to lead one or two pointless sessions to keep the squad busy then throw them out in a generic 442. And I don't really think he deserves to be tarred with the failure of Cifuentes. End of the day, for better or worse, he's in charge for now we may as well give him the benefit of the doubt and wish him well.

This whole media tour has been a flop. It's no wonder he never does it.

A New Dawn For The Foxes Trust

It occurs to me I have no idea who was using the Trust account on this forum. Has that person left the board and is one of your group taking ownership of that forum account moving forward? -

I genuinely think the Russell Martin links are just a mix of lazy rumours and people writing stories about betting patterns. I have next to 0 faith left in our ownership and even I don't think they'd actually consider Martin. There's lots of names I consider entirely underwhelming that I think they would pick but I reckon Martin would be considered far, far, far too much of a risk in our current situation. -
I doubt it. I think the club once more feel they're immune to relegation and I also imagine we're close to giving up on promotion. I imagine we'd let pretty much most senior pros go to cleave the wage bill at this point.

Tbf, usually Sporting Director and Director of Football are the same thing. Technical Director is usually a little different. Obviously the terms are nebulous and interchangeable between clubs but that's usually the case.
-
Our problem is that he isn't lying. He believes it.
-
As I said in the other thread, him saying he doesn't understand how we got relegated is one of the most harrowing things I've seen. No wonder he rarely speaks. If that (or hearing him defend Rudkin) is not the final straw for anyone wanting him to sell I don't know what is.

Hearing him say "I still don't understand why we went down" is horrific. It's fine for the media to say "wow, how the hell did that happen" but for the owner who was supposed to "learn the lessons", several years later, to still be acting like it's a mystery is ****ing absurd.

But that's where you're going wrong. It won't be someone that intrigues you. It won't be someone that intrigues anyone. -

I highly doubt Ange is on the shortlist. It'll be a list of out of work managers with a decent amount of EFL experience who are thoroughly underwhelming. There'll be no creative names, no flashy names, no hipster names, no Premier League names. It'll be dull AF. I also think Ange would probably consider us too far to drop even despite his recent wobbles. I'd take him, though. Spurs being a step too far for him isn't really saying much, doesn't make him an awful coach and frankly he was always doomed at Forest. He was a ridiculous hire straight off the back of Nuno and he never stood a chance. -

Just stop, man. For your own sakes. We'd never consider him and frankly he probably wouldn't consider us. -

You can't honestly believe Henriksen would ever realistically be on any shortlist. You know better. It'll be a boring household name that inspires zero excitement in anyone. Replacing Rudkin was a lie to keep us quiet for a while, it's not happening, Top and Rudkin will pick the replacement and it'll be the same rubbish they always pick. Enzo was a fluke. -
I typically think we can win every game, before kick off. Even if Cifuentes was still here, I'd think there's a not 0 chance that we'd come racing out of the blocks and be 2 - 0 up against Charlton inside half an hour and cruise to a straightforward win. That's what makes us so frustrating. There's plenty of players with the ability to win games at this level. Mavididi, Fatawu and BDCR can all be match winners, we've seen it. We're just mindblowingly inconsistent and mentally weak, capable of downing tools over the slightest set back.

I would only really barely call myself a Seahawks "fan" (I don't really follow a team but they are my favourite) and even I'm still traumatised by last time.

Will Still has the same agent as Cifuentes and was sacked by Southampton making him an absolute double whammy. They also represent a former manager of ours everyone is keen to have back...
