  1. There you go, that was it. So ~126m loss on players we sold, another ~254m on ones that walked out for free and to add to your list of pending ones that are about to walk out for free, Bouba cost us another 20 odd, Vestergaard we'll probably be stuck with for another year and that's another 15m. What I didn't bother calculating because the data isn't reliable is the cost in wages over that time for players that don't actually play. So that's either cases like Soyuncu, Vestergaard, Daka, Soumare, etc where handsomely paid footballers are peripheral squad members or even frozen out entirely or even cases where a player has been loaned out to clubs repeatedly (eg Praet, Slimani, etc) who won't be paying anywhere near their full wage. I know every club will have stories like this. A certain percentage of transfers always fail. But the volume of money we've pissed away over the last 5-10 years is ****ing tragic.
  2. I've just seen a reddit thread about a guy who was deeply confused because he had slow, long term carbon monoxide poisoning. I think you might need a CO detector.
  3. The problem for Trump isn't that he "visited the island", the problem for Trump is he was a major co-conspirator and trafficker who is almost certainly the most heavily named pedophile in the evidence of Epstein's operation. They were extremely close friends and confidants. If the full thing is leaked, he'll lose his base and be in genuine danger of prosecution, for real this time. They 100% want Venezuelan oil, even ****ing Murdoch owned Sky News haven't bothered hiding how much the Americans want and need the heavy crude there, but the timing is definitely about the file release. Pretty sure Maduro was taken the exact day Bondi was supposed to disclose the last batch, no? They're never subtle.
  4. This is the worst thread I've ever seen on a forum
  5. I did a lite version of this without the adjustment for the Rudkin tax. Just simply what we've lost on players that were either sold or left for free. It's in the Rudkin thread somewhere. It was eye wateringly horrible.
  6. Maguire and Fofana were absolutely ridiculous. Drinkwater, at the time, was also probably a bit bonkers. I agree everything else we've done par or worse. But people have known how desperate we are financially. They've known we need to sell because we made massive losses and we also ridiculously over pay on contracts which makes it for us to ever get rid. We're just a mess. We're not great in the transfer market at all, really. Even when our target acquisition is good (and even now it still is occasionally, hence Fatawu), the financials around them tend to be poor. We almost certainly overpaid for Abdul in the first place, all things considered.
  7. Uff. Another game. So soon. I'm tired, boss.
  8. If it makes you feel any better, its everyone. All posts have to be approved. I had to approve my own post to reply a minute ago #sorrymark Edit: although this one didn't. I have no idea why. Is it because I said Tr*mp or H*tler?
  9. We aren't really still at a point where people outside the United States are still defending Donald Trump, are we? Playing Top Trumps (pun genuinely unintended but uncharacteristically enjoyable) with psychopathic rulers is pointless. The situational context is different for Pol Pot, Putin, Hitler, Stalin, all the way back to Nero. Is Pinochet more or less evil than Mugabe or Amin based on his basic stats? Quite obviously, Donald Trump doesn't have the same means or opportunity that some of history's most murderous dictators have had to kill millions and millions of people, commit genocide and invade an entire continent. The world is very different and he's the leader of a very different country. But I think by this point it's fairly evident that he has no conscience and is capable and motivated to do and say anything that will advance his own wealth and power. I don't think he's as profoundly ideological as Adolf Hitler but given Hitler is recent history's most prominent far right bogeyman and Donald Trump is increasingly a far right bogeyman, it's pretty obvious people are going to compare the two. It isn't meant to be a literal comparison, if you find yourself trying to "well actually" in defence of The Donald, you're either missing the point and a bit of obvious contextual hyperbole or you're... well. Of questionable intent. In your case Danny, I suspect the former. Unfortunately, the guy St Albans is quoting and replying to left the forum last time around after outting himself as quite resoundingly and uncomfortably bigoted in some of his personal beliefs. Lovely to see you back, Alex.
  10. Sign of an absolute quality team that, winning when the performance isn't great.
  11. How the **** have we not scored there
  12. You can see what he means right.
  13. What you smokin', Dave
  14. Can we take all of them off?
  15. Mid ****ing blocks
  16. He's a dog chasing a ball on the park. Only time he's ever been decent is when he's the spare man in the midfield and he's allowed to do just that.
  17. These are shit and I'm jealous of them. Imagine having players that care.
  18. Hfaes your typing is really coming along nicely.
  19. I hate this stat so much. It makes me genuinely angry. It's the one thing I just think there's never an excuse for. It doesn't take any talent or skill. There's just no excuse for such low intensity it's ****ing awful.
