  1. In the entire history of the club, we've only been a regular fixture in the bottom half of the 2nd tier once and it's when we slid down to the 3rd tier for the only time in our history. Something that happened in the lifetime of the "young" supporters complaining. Our all time average position in English football is something like 22nd and that's largely due to the ancient Lancashire duffers like Burnley, Blackburn, Bolton and even Preston. We sit 13th in the dreaded (*gasp*) all time Premier League table. I really cannot, cannot abide people who pretend we've "always been crap" as if it's not the most disgustingly unambitious thing to say anyway. The club could have literally been founded in 2015 and it would be disgusting that it's been allowed to collapse from winning the league to the current circumstances.
  2. Makes sense for Patson that. Our fan base is too partisan, impatient and unforgiving. He needs to go somewhere with cooler heads where he'll have time to settle...
  3. Sorry, I wasn't trying to pull a "I know more than you", I was being glib. I'm literally currently responding to a pointless FOIA that's in front of me and I think they can all **** off Edit: make that two 🤦
  4. Speaking as a local government officer that has to respond to a LOT of FOIAs, I think we have a different definition of public interest Seriously, though, I'd have thought the only organisation with an official head count through the turnstiles would be the club. As you've seen, the council can only tell you the maximum capacity the stadium is permitted to hold and the police will only have estimates, I'd have thought. Even the club will only know if I'm right in assuming the "new" machines register an entry somewhere that's logged in a database every time a ticket is scanned. Wind back a few years to analogue tickets and blokes in the turnstiles and I don't actually know if they were tallying on entry. I can't remember, did they rip stubs? Suppose you could count those. You'll have some variance for people in boxes, not sure they count meticulously who goes in to corporate but that's going to be a small impact on the overall figure. Long and short of it, you'd need to ask the club and they obviously aren't obliged to tell you. Edit: as an aside, it's worth noting that every other club will report attendance the same way, as in tickets sold. For whatever it's worth, it won't be unique to us.
  5. I dunno. It's bad enough we've got a League One trophy on record.
  6. It's sweet you think the club has more power than Sky.
  7. Have just seen the FOIA conversation. Could have saved you the effort.
  8. I genuinely can't think of many clubs (that still exist obviously) that have been straight up worse to support in my lifetime. I've watched Leicester win basically everything available to us domestically, except the Paint Trophy I think we're probably one of the most interesting clubs in English football to follow, for good and bad. It's never boring here and the highs, for a club outside the big six have been nuts. Cov must be one of the least.
  9. Did you not hold some absolutely hilarious record for going X many years without featuring in the top six of any league? Just a very long, slow melt downwards?
  10. The "Antonio of old" was a 10 goal a season striker, Lets be clear about our expectations, he's bobbins. But he can't be any worse than Carranza and Daka contributing nothing and Ayew chipping in with **** all but pens.
  11. All football can be shit. But the quality in the Championship is significantly worse than the Prem. It's such a myth that it's some kind of magical, exciting league down here. What Sky Blues means is he's finally getting to enjoy watching Cov win and doesn't want to see them get humped every game if they go up, which I understand, but just say that. Don't hide behind 'quality.'
  12. It's all I've really touched for weeks. Obsessed
  13. Easy to be sound when you're cruising at the top without a care in the world. It's not a coincidence that Coventry are finally relevant for the first time in three decades, we're having one of our worst seasons for almost two decades and just now we're getting our first ever resident Cov fan decide to register and hang out. He's not aggressively taking the piss but he's definitely doing it passively
  14. So to be clear, you're NOT voting Reform in the next election?
  15. Jesus ****ing christ
  16. We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, And the machine is bleeding to death. "Songs To Describe Leicester Cityâ„¢"
  17. Lmao, good luck.
  18. Trump absolutely does not want to end war. You know this for two reasons, firstly because he's said he does and he's spent his entire life basically playing the opposite game Secondly, no US president ever wants to stop war. Their economy is pretty much propped up by there being, at very least, a proxy war somewhere they're involved in. Genuine peace would put them in recession.
  19. I hated that stupid article when it was published and it's still dumb now. Top speed =/= sprint times. If you can't sustain your top speed for more than a second or it takes you fifty yards to get up to that speed, it means nothing. Obviously Vards and De Laet had both high top speeds and fast sustained times over distance but a lot of the rest are relative donkeys just with power. ****ing awful journalism from someone supposed to know sport. Just click bait rubbish.
  20. I'm just waiting for you to **** up and reply to yourself with the wrong account.
  21. People largely do what they're told. The first part is only true because Rupert Murdoch never wanted a Labour government in the first place and has spent every day since they got in telling the British public how shit they are. We had a decade of the Tories being awful before that. And look how long MAGA has been pulling the wool over the eyes of the working class in America, getting them to vote against their interests, the cracks are only just starting to show now. There aren't really comms for the average fan speaking up against the running of the club. Percy writes an article once a year and gets frozen out for it and that's about it. The Mercury and RL play nice, the official fan group spreads happy back the lads nonsense, even the trust is a spineless mess you never hear discontent from. There might be podcasts and YouTube channels and foxestalk that's critical but few people over 25/30 are engaging with that and we've got an ageing fanbase full of majority boomers that are going to go and be happy regardless because they care about the day out but they're not really football fans, they're fans of their culture and the match day. Seeing their mates, getting out the house, having a bovril and a sausage roll. This is why clubs like Everton, with a seriously vocal fan group at work in the community, that stands for the supporters not the regime, actually work up genuine discontent when things are bad. We won't get that unless the club actually goes in to admin and people feel threatened or scared about the club's genuine future.
  22. They're both shit mate
  23. I might start betting on opposition right wingers being man of the match every game.
