  1. Brilliant move. Much better. Unlucky Stephy, good defending.
  2. Can you really blame them
  3. The missus went nuts buying sweets for trick or treaters and none turned up. So a lot of sugar and e numbers
  4. For absolutely no particular reason what so ever I'm strangely confident we're going to win this by at least two goals. Carranza or Mavididi are going to score. I can feel it.
  5. Choosing what to play between ARC Raiders and BF6 is a nightmare.
  6. I can hear someone at the HSE having a heart attack from here just thinking about this at a British ground.
  7. "I consider this established term that means something to mean something different, excluding things I actually do like, because I'm not bright enough to hold nuanced, contrasting thoughts in my head at the same time."
  8. Fear of the Fox is just wrong, to be honest, there's absolutely no reason at all not to get a laptop to run Football Manager. I'll happily debate the merits of PC vs. Laptop gaming with him elsewhere (I've been gaming happily and successfully on laptops for over 20 years.) But if you want to buy new from a reliable dealer you probably are still looking at the same £750ish for current lower end machines. Performance, care and degredation aren't your biggest issue with laptops, it's affordability. The thing is though, the recommended specs for FM26, even with the overhauled graphics engine, still aren't particularly "current generation." An RTX 2060 graphics card is several years old, the likes of Currys or BOX won't even be selling brand new machines with those in anymore. So you could get something older, potentially something refurbished, that wouldn't be super current but would run FM if that's all you're after. You're still looking at probably ~600 quid, mind. Leaves you with ebay and the second hand market which is a minefield for fairly obvious reasons. Laptops are physically handled daily, they're going to be more vulnerable to misuse and ill care, I'd personally be very hesitant picking one up blind, regardless of how good ebay's consumer protection might be. You could probably get something to run FM26 for 300-400 though if you're patient and get a bit lucky. Have a search on there for gaming laptops with an RTX 2060.
  9. You mean the guy that's scored more than all our forwards combined. Did you read the thread properly?
  10. He has no experience managing in the league we are currently playing in. He's a hipster suggestions to Jon Rudkin.
  11. "Realistic Managerial Replacements" Foxestalk posts a bunch of hipster suggestions our board will never have heard of.
  12. The internet has done a number on a lot of people. Everyone has to be a hero or a villain these days, everything needs a narrative and a story. The reality is a lot more boring. Top isn't some evil, moustache twirling devil. He's just very out of his depth and a good example of why running a multi million pound business shouldn't be hereditary. He knows **** all about running a football club but he owns one that's absolutely shackled to the legacy and memory of his father who died here in extremely traumatic circumstances. Circumstances he's still dealing with, by the way, they were still in hearings a couple of months ago at City Hall. I do wish he'd either sell the club or surrender the running of it to someone experienced and competent but I don't hate him.
  13. I stand by what I said about Manuel Akanji and will die on this hill. It's actually a really good example of how people's binary understanding of footballers is problematic. It's the same as people who think letting Kramaric go was embarrassing or a mistake. Every footballer has a different skill set, every footballer has different strengths and weaknesses. What Man City want out of a defender is different to what we wanted and needed out of a defender. Akanji had a serious track record of being error prone and poor as an actual centre back and he'd have been a disaster here in the same way Faes has been. But he's an excellent technical footballer that fit nicely in to a dominant Man City side, where 75% ball possession, Kyle Walker's pace and Ruben Dias' defensive excellence could cover any errors. Same reason they won countless league titles with a goal keeper that's an extremely mid tier shot stopper who would have been awful for us. Bowen IS a good example for the thread. He would have been very good here. He'd have fit in the team nicely, would have been a massive upgrade on Perez and cost half as much.
  14. Don't do that. Look, the man is a *****, he shouldn't ever be allowed to "manage" a football club and even left alone to just coach a squad he'll eventually fall over because his man management of actual human beings is trash tier. But when he's got confidence in his squad and his squad have confidence in him he's a pretty good coach. We played probably the best football I've ever seen us play under Rodgers and if you're going to try and pretend that was down to Claude Puel, who couldn't coach a team to attack if it was to save the world, I'm going to pay Mark to ban you for life. It's possible to hold contrasting thoughts and nuance in your head. Rodgers can be a cvnt we're glad to see the back of but also won us the FA Cup and played some absolutely cracking football when things were good.
  15. ****ing brilliant to hear someone absolutely give it Rodgers both barrels. What a statement that is.
  16. Can we? Obviously. It isn't likely. But then we don't need to go down for significant damage to be done to the club and our future prospects.
  17. Not good enough. I personally edit the database and delete him from existence.
  18. I'm fine man thanks yeah, how are you buddy? But @RumbleFox was implying I shouldn't take his opinion seriously where as you're doubling down on claiming Amartey would be a better option than Faes. So maybe you guys need to go away and work out whether or not you're serious before you @ me again
  19. He's objectively worse than Faes. This is just cognitive bias. Boils my piss seeing people celebrate Amartey like he isn't part of the reason we were relegated in the first place.
  20. Might set a bot up to post "ffs Ayew" at five minute intervals in the match thread just to reliably farm rep.
