Subs will be key here. Everton have such a thin squad, if Cooper turns up the heat at 60 minutes with fresh, quick legs and attacking players to blow them away then fine. If he sits on this XI and makes fewer than 3 subs or makes them too late, I'll be really pissed off.

Perhaps posting a vitriolic match report would help? -

Cannot see how Hamza was the answer ahead of Ricardo, particularly with where he was positioned. Ricky at least will control, look after the ball, carry it forward, present an outlet -
Ndidi looks knackered. It's affecting his famous deft touch

Get Ricardo on ffs, and Fatawu for Ayew

I hope that's the case. Still a couple of his selections boggle my ignorant mind...

One of the common things I hear from F****t fans is that Cooper never knew his best XI...

This is awesome. You're building a wonderful history of the club on this forum, with a really great style and tone.

What a boring load of shit

Absolutely nailed it Coady's injuries last year and now have been absolutely, terribly, the worst luck. If he'd been able to integrate last year and play now, I think we'd be in a much better place. The guy must be gutted.

Morale must be in the gutter among our remaining squad from last season. Hopefully one benefit of Bobby and Ayew is that they'll maybe bring some PL nous and mentality...

When Martinez spoke about him when he signed, he said he's young and still developing his game but that he's the future of the Belgian defence. I haven't seen him develop. The guy's got major bomb scares in him, as we saw most pointedly in that Liverpool game. He's also got a real attitude about him, he's not quick enough, and he doesn't appear to be a leader. That said, what will we get for him and who could we recruit if he goes? On balance I've never warmed to him and without a solid senior player next to him to keep him in check, I'm not confident in his abilities.
