  1. I think he would, its good publicity for the club. NIFL Premiership (yes its called the Premiership) clubs know they arent in a position to stand in a player's way for a sizeable English club comes in for a player.
  2. Those those who have never heard of them, Larne are the team in Northern Ireland bankrolled by the guy who founded Purplebricks. Won their first ever league title last season.
  3. Hard luck England, thought you guys had the win until the front row replacements couldn't do it in scrums compared to your starting front row. Thought were ahead in most other aspects, gameplan was excellent too. Lots of positives moving forward. As for South Africa, their handling was fvckin awful among a lot of other facets of their game tonight.
  4. I dont think its revionism at all. As Finners said, thats typical of fan hysteria at the time and fearing the worst. The odds you mention were driven by the market which was driven by the media. If we're pointing to Craig Dawson at WHL, we got the result againstnWsst Brom at home so in effect they cancelled each other out.
  5. One slight gripe about the title winning season is the whole 'bottling it' and 'what might have been' narrative from a Spurs point of view. The reality is we were always in control and they were barely in the title race probably only as much as Man Utd were last season. The media needed to built it up to make it interesting and the only thing they were relying on was us going back to late 2014 form. Always thinking bottling it or choking is overused as it implies a team were good enough to win but just didnt perform on the night or over a period of games, I dont think that was the case here as Spurs were never good enough to win it and was never theirs to lose. You could say they bottled 2nd that season, they definitely didnt bottle the title.
  6. Congrats, what was the course in?
  7. Happens at local club rugby around England matches when the 6 nations are on, works well.
  8. The dream scenario as a fvck you to Sky would be... A touchline ban for Rooney for something he did the match before. Vardy to get a slight knock on the 89th minute of the previous game when we intend on playing Nacho against Brum anyway. Then return Vardy for the following match.
  9. Only disappointment is that Boris Johnson isnt overseeing a huge GE defeat even though most of it was his making.
  10. If the 2 big hitters play like they did last week it would be NZ by 40+ points v Argentina and SA by 25+ v England but I reckon it will be more like NZ by 20 and SA by 15.
  11. I probably should have been clearer, what I meant was entry into a round beyond the FA Cup 3rd round.
  12. Meant even more so, as is 4th round entry or beyond.
  13. The laughable thing is how they bang on about player welfare in the same breath too.
  14. I dont mind this as a standalone but its the direction we are going thats more worrying. When will the league cup be scrapped or solely for teams not in europe? When will the FA Cup start to get like the League Cup with premier league teams or teams in europe introduced only in the latter rounds?
  15. Are you a Tory who lost a Tamworth by election in a safe Tory seat? | | YES | | FVCK OFF
  16. Has to be really though as the culture of betting is different in the UK compared to Italy. A lot of people rightly have sympathy with Toney considering the hypocrisy with football's affiliation with betting sponsorship.
  17. 30-34 seems realistic. Thats 20-24 out of the remaining 35 games.
  18. For the supporter numbers they get the Scottish scene is excellent
  19. 1 - No mini retirements during the season
  20. That might have worked if it didnt have the word football in the link, twice
  21. Much prefer the work of his brother Tic Tac
  22. 2 days on from us going out and I'm a bit more reflective. Even though our performance was the worst of the 4, I still maintain their isn't much difference in quality between the top 4 in the world right now, but NZ and South Africa just know how to find a way when it really matters. The character, ability not to get overawed from the occasion and tactical nous is just different level and something we just need to get better at, this experience might help. One positive for where Ireland are that this that this wasnt a plucky defeat where we punched above our weight to fail. Although some of our key players are retiring, our youth teams have a pretty decent set up at the minute so I'm still feeling good about the future while not being naive about other teams that are bound to improve too. And for the love of god in 2027, no more laps of honour after winning a group match.
  23. Agree with this. Couple of strange minor decisions by the ref I thought but wasnt massively swung either way.
  24. Guess I was wrong about Saffers snoring their way along though.
