I was thinking this earlier, he can't enjoy himself in this kind of system where they don't put much pressure on the ball and just knock it around when they do have it. Compare that to the way he played for us in 2016 when he was running his heart out, intercepting, playing the ball to start the counter attack and then fly down the other end of the pitch at 100mph. He did it like ten times a game. I mean, what a shower this is in comparison.

He's a very clever player on the pitch, I remember when RDL used to go down the wing from RB and Drinkwater always used to hang back incase we were hit on the break and if we did lose the ball he made sure he'd cover the space left behind by the RB. Also used to play some very good through balls to vards and in general I felt he was a good, hardworking CM. If the price was right (preferably no more than £15m, £20m at a push) I'd like him back. I don't think we're desperate for him but i think we could benefit from him.
