2nd season in the Prem comes to an end with an improved league finish. 1 position higher, 8 more points gained, and a +7 improved goal difference. Just had the email to confirm we have qualified for the conference league, I like to think we have a good chance of winning that. Our first ever foray into Europe ended at the quarter final stage of the Europa League with a 3-1 aggregate loss to Hamburg. Our lack of squad depth really started to hinder us after January and I spent the last few months of the season with usually at least 2 players needed to be rested, and that was up to about 7 players as we got into May. The biggest breakout star for us this season was definitely Axel Gastaldi, signed last summer for £13.5m as my initial backup to Ruairi Lithgow, he got a chance due to injury and I just could not drop him. A lot of clubs sniffing around him and quite a few of my other players so going to be a fun summer... £43m and £70k budgets provided to improve the squad this summer, with my main focuses definitely being a starting full back for both sides, and also a starting right winger.

First season in the Prem went well with Shepshed as we managed to finish 8th - we started as expected for a newly promoted side with just 3 wins in our first 10 games, but some really good form in the 2nd half of the season helped us to fly up the table and well away from the relegation zone Israel Lamas was definitely our star signing from the summer - joined us from Hamburg for £15m where he had been pretty poor last season (2 goals in 31 games), but joined us and was brilliant all season with 12 goals and 9 assists in 36 Prem games Although finishing 8th in the Prem in our first season is obviously brilliant, the best news came as we managed to win the FA Cup for the first time! Can definitely say we had a pretty favourable run with League Two Mansfield in the quarters and then mid table Championship Stoke in the Final, but not going to complain! An 8th place finish and FA Cup win means we have qualified for the Europa League group stage, and we have been given £43m and £300k budgets to improve the squad, which should be fine for what I am planning

After his overall season in League Two a lot of League One teams would definitely have been going for him - maybe even a Championship side would've taken a punt on him Hopefully gets given a good go next season
