Indeed. Think of the fortune involved in those two wins - which could and perhaps should have gone the other way. In contrast you couldn’t point to other games we didn’t win that we should. I have no doubt we’ll be in the bottom 3 by Christmas if not before. While it doesn’t appear he’s totally lost the dressing room just yet, I really don’t think the players would be arsed if he left. Maybe the shitbags would like VK/JJ who are far less likely to play under someone who actually knows what their doing and changes when players make consistent mistakes. After all, what does he add really? He’s even going to back to the previous managers system on occasion.

Sometimes you should and can sack people who some deem to have done ok - look at Bournemouth sacking O’Neil for Iraola. O’Neil worked a miracle to keep them up with an amazing half a season or so, and the football world was shocked when he was sacked. But they found someone better. Cooper hasn’t got close to what O’Neil achieved in that stint at Bournemouth. We need to cut our losses with this clown and forget the whole sorry and sordid affair.

Why don’t we all bombard the club with the same email expressing our concerns, and that we want a change? The problem with leaving it to the terraces is that, as said here, they take far too long to demand change.

With clubs at the bottom there comes a point when you have to be decisive than your rivals in order to get the better options that are available. Also if he goes now then a new manager will have a few games and can assess where he needs to strengthen in Jan (if we can).

For me I’d go for Moyes as he’s experienced and the most likely to sort out the flimsy defence. Perhaps then ditch him in 2 years for a more progressive manager once he’s steadied the ship, or not. But he’s the one for me.

I resonate with a lot on this thread. I’ve stopped going to games I would otherwise attend. Sick of him, and just feel apathy when we concede because it’s inevitable. He has to go now. I would chip in to a banner at next home game, and I’m going to that one. Chelsea will batter us and it’ll get ugly. If it’s a thrashing and the crowd turn I think they board might act, but we have to play our part.

It’s worth pointing out that there’s only 4 points between 3rd and 13th in the Premier League. You only need to string a few results together to get to a respectable and good position. The board need to consider whether that is more or less likely to happen with Cooper in charge.

I’ve pondered whether I’d rather be Southampton who have a clear identity but less points, or us. I’m not sure. But I’ve had enough of Cooper. I don’t know what he stands for, I don’t see what he adds and I’m getting bored of saying it. I drive around 3 hours for a home game, and for the first time I genuinely question whether I want to. Similarly we played in Manchester twice in the last 2 weeks - it’s not far for me. But I didn’t go to either - which is unheard of. So what I’m saying is that Cooper is slowly changing my relationship with this club. I watched today and thought we’d get pumped, but that was on the basis of United having their tails up and playing well. They didn’t have to get out of second gear. We all can see flaws - notably at full back - and yet he isn’t doing anything about it. I thought this season would be difficult. But we’ve no points deduction now and we do have quality. It is the manager who is holding us back, and imo it’s getting worse as the season goes on.
