  1. Thomas just has zero creativity. Just does the basic next action time and time again.
  2. Didn't see any replies to this, so just thought I'd let you know that he's probably just being rested, as it's a league cup game.
  3. A win is a win. But has there ever been a less satisfying 3 points than that?
  4. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  5. We brought Kasey and Daka on to even up the numbers?
  6. Nearly 3 minutes for those subs. Games got to change...
  7. Obscene amounts of wages paid to each and every one of them and the minimum you ask of them is that they at least LOOK like they give a shit for 2 hours a week. Fvck the lot of em.
  8. It was so painfully inevitable, all ****ing week...
  9. I've been saying all week that their starting 11 will be experienced in this league. We should still have enough, but we've got to do more than just step onto the pitch to get a result here.
  10. They have Bernard, Iorfa, Lowe, Palmer, Valery, an experienced back line. Coupled with Chalobah and Bannan ahead of them, it's not like we'll be up against a team with 20 first team apps between them. I still expect us to win, but potentially could be a frustrating watch.
  11. I can see it being 0-0 at half time with this place in full meltdown. Finishing 1-0 or 2-0, but a far less convincing performance than some are predicting.
  12. Spot on! I bet most of their remaining players will just be itching to get back on the pitch again. Tactically and physically, they might not be up to scratch. But I doubt we'll see any lack of effort, and need to be cautious. We've been stung more than once in fixtures like these.
  13. Wider perspective as fine after time. But I think the frustration is more focused to moments in this game. From the position we were in, in this game, it should have been seen out. We gave them a way back into it and gave away momentum. This is irrespective of the stature of the game within the country. We didn't walk away thinking "ah well" when we managed to lose to Spurs after being ahead after 93 minutes, just because they have a perceived higher stature in the game.
  14. Absolutely. Taking that away from Brook he probably doesn't score his hundred. But, you have to manage the moments better. Looking at Root, he's not really a "run a ball" player and with Brook in with him, he was probably happy at his pace as time wasn't a factor. Seeing Brook and then Bethel go, he's seen it enough times that he probably felt the need to pick the pace up as the wickets were bound to fall at the other end. Made for a superb spectacle though, and a fair result in the end.
  15. Firstly, excellent advert, yes. But... it's still on Brook for me. Superb knock with Root, both set and the India attack completely out of ideas. You're an experienced test player and national team captain, you should be looking at the lack of experience after you. As we've seen before, back-to-back boundaries and he loses his head. You could feel it, once he did that, the tide would turn. Didn't need to bat through but could have easily took another 20 off that total. Excellent player, but it was silly. That Bethel wickets on the other hand, I have no words for. Superb drama though. I thought Gill had thrown it away not bringing the field in for that penultimate delivery. Turns out he knew exactly what he was doing
  16. Sssshhh! It never happened he was awful...
  17. As soon as Brook threw his wicket away, I knew the runs would dry up. Can't see where these runs come from.
  18. 2 set batters against a tired attack, could have seen this out with minimal drama. 2 more quick wickets and it looks a lot less of a precession.
  19. If this team starts next week (if the game goes ahead) then 6 academy lads in the starting 11 is very impressive. Although I'd prefer Fatawu over McAteer and Justin over Choudhury.
  20. This has the feel of that Hull game in 16/17, opening day. They'll have a bunch of kids going out with fearless naivety, nothing to lose and everything to prove.
  21. Problem is, words are hollow. This was proven 2 seasons ago with the infamous internal review. The club can put out whatever statement they like, because there won't be many fans taking it with anything more than a pinch of salt until they start following their words with actions.
  22. He's been here a week, i doubt theres a pecking order. Shows that maybe he hasn't showed as much as the others in training. Or even the opposite, he's seen all he needs in training.
