Are we selling to comply with financial rules, or just to attempt to piece together a pot to piss in? Because £37,500 per week for a year is less than the loss we'd make on his book value, if it is actually £3m
-
Even if he was manager, he'd still find a way to fall out with the manager.

We SHOULD be turning a profit using successful business strategies, afforded to us by the successes on the pitch. THAT is what attracts investors. Nobody is looking at Blackburn or Wigan, because the stature is long gone. Unless you stumble upon somebody who wants to make a story of us, the only thing they'll be looking at is the bottom line. I'm of the mentality that we had an unbelievable opportunity to cement ourselves as a top half Premier League side, but we abandoned the strategy that served us (and Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford etc) so well, selling assets whilst their value is high and scouting smartly. We instead offered these players contracts equivalent to those with 10x our turnover, choosing ambition. We flew too close to the sun. The FA cup win was a product of that ambition, but every fan knows it wasn't sustainable. I'm not even knocking the club for that. Would fans be truly happy with top half Prem finishes each year, as a ceiling? Would you happily be an Everton or a Newcastle? Their fans strive for more. Breaking the ceiling and pushing into the top 6 regularly is a gamble that any club, aside from those already classed as top 6, will eventually lose. So tell me. Where would your smart money go as an investor, putting your allegiance aside, City or Spurs?

Come on. I know we're on a low ebb right now, but every fan knows we were punching well above our weight for a number of years. Trophies are what fans class as success, but real success to anybody looking to invest is financial success. Are we 6th in that? Nowhere near. We flew too close to the sun... I wouldn't trade the Trophies for anything, but the 'pull' of those successes have long gone. We're more attractive than alot of fans are making out, but 6th most successful club is not much more than a poor sales pitch.

There's alot of future contracts and deals that could be ruined by a poor choice at 17/18, but most don't have that foresight and I'd argue we could be that poor choice at the moment.
-
I'd be hoping they'll be keeping an eye on the likes of Graham Alexander and Dave Challinor, both doing great jobs and involved in the League One playoffs. So maybe after they're over?

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

1 in 6 for somebody playing behind the striker (mostly) for lower mid teams is not bad. Yet people defend Daka, saying at least he tries, for the money he's on??? Put any fan on this forum in the team and they'll try. Put a dog on the pitch and he'll run around. -
If I had to choose between doing everything myself or passing the ball to Patson Daka, Bobby DeCordova Reid or Oliver Skipp I know what choice I would make. I believe half the technically gifted players that could have saved us just gave up through exasperation halfway through the Prem season knowing the other half of the team is made up of Sunday League squad fillers. He'll be great in a team that has other threats for the opposition to manage, good luck to him.

Apathetic. I've tried to care, but it's gone. I hang around hoping to spot the club I fell in love with, but the passion has left me.
-
They're gonna get clapped off aren't they? Because they tried for 15 minutes. Little scrappers, bless them.
-
The amount of 60/40 balls we come off 2nd best in, is ridiculous. 2 alone for their 2nd goal.
-
With each announcent that player X has left the club this summer, my mood will lift slightly. There's not a single player in this squad that I hope stays.

Relegation, League 1, financial implications

Fallen Premier League champion with State-of-the-art facilties. Somebody must be interested... Somebody... -
I think we'll buy him to immediately sell him, personally. If the rumoured purchase option is correct, we could make a quick £6m profit maybe.
-
Missed the other Nigerian striker we had, the "English" midfielder and winger, as neither actually represent England.
-
Not like this lot to fly off on one, is it? Wasn't the worst penalty ever, keeper guessed right. But, the only good penalties are the ones that go in.
-
Stunning half so far.
-
I'd be interested to know if you had this feeling during the great escape? If so, when did you change your mind??

Tuesday wasn't important? Points away at promotion chasing teams not important. No, we aren't going to go on a 5 game winning run, we're crap. We are capable of winning every game we have remaining, we are also capable of losing them all, that's not inevitable. It's just tiresome seeing a fan base, after every loss claiming "that's it" we're as mentally fragile as the players.
-
Explain then, how it's inevitable we go down?? "we're sh!t" so is everyone around us. "we have no fight" same arguments being had on the Rovers and WBA forums until today. We might go down, we might be 6 points clear come 6th April.
-
So it's inevitable?
-
Bore off! We're as capable of winning games as the likes of Oxford, WBA and Portsmouth hence the points tally. It's sh!t, we're sh!t, but so is everybody up to about 10th in this league. We might go down, but I'm struggling to see inevitability in it when there's 1 result separating 4 teams and a 6 pointer at Blackburn to come.
-
I've never been to the Copperjax, in all fairness. There's always that...
-
Same moaning pre-match as Tuesday, its more tiresome than actually seeing the lineup. He took out the worst performing player, and put in a decent youngster, give it a rest.
