You’re certainly right about the pacific - could be that as part of this ‘sell out deal’ on Ukraine that trump will have made it clear to Putin not to do anything that forces him to make a call on article 5. Of course taking parts of Moldova wouldn’t do that so Putin could keep himself busy elsewhere. im wondering about the ‘minerals deal’. What’s happened with that? will that actually be used by Ukraine as a real means to underpin real usa support beyond a ceasefire? Surely trump won’t agree to a ceasefire deal that doesn’t include that being signed?? You think that putin didn’t ‘discuss’ anything with trump whilst Biden was president there would have been messages back and forth somehow putin knew that if trump got in that he’d get a great deal Ukraine should have negotiated whilst Biden still had a couple years left. They could have saved a decent chunk of what they’re going to lose if they’d accepted crimea was lost and a sizeable land bridge from Russia across se Ukraine inc the oblasts bordering Russia. (Donetsk and Luhansk). more importantly, under Biden they could have negotiated an agreement that included real American underwritten support that trump would not have felt the need to undermine several years later once there was peace. some on here were pointing this out as the dreaded realpolitik back then.

I think he may be a bit young for that. If he wasn’t leaving for the northwest then he’d be better sticking here where he can live at home and we can look after his development by selecting the games he plays in.

That’s cos they don’t seem to have any electoral control on their policies from the senate or congress. If the USA president makes decisions without anyone needing to support him then they wouldn’t appreciate that’s how proper democracies work. We are approaching a point that we could have been in at least a year ago (at least). Crimea has effectively been gone for years. Zelenskyy knows this - he’s digging his heels in to try and keep some of the areas nearer the front line on a negotiation.. Looks like he’ll be disappointed. He gambled by not trying to make a much better deal whilst Biden was there. He made a bad call.

No one got mega wealthy without ‘standing on someone else’s head’.

Very premature it’s clear that king power no longer have the finances to move the club forwards (stadium development being the clearest example) if Top decides to sell out or bring in new investment then we’d need to see what level of finance these people have and if they make changes at board level etc which are sorely needed.

I think the board are again making a mess of this if they think RVN will resign. What we don’t know is if his salary is also reduced in the championship as per the players. Hence, sacking him in the summer may mean a lower payout. there may be a game of chicken going on between us and his agent. You’d assume that the agent will make it clear he isn’t resigning and the club need to negotiate re a settlement.

U21 have their first play off game at Solon on sunday im guessing that we will prioritise that over an away game at wolves for the youngsters hence expect few changes and at most a couple kids on the bench who can then travel down to the south coast in the evening

Absolute bonkers league Watched St Albans city beat Hemel today 1-0 along with 4000 others (impressive number ). Sadly now need a win at Truro (currently top of table) last fixture and hope other results go for them. Otherwise it’s the isthmian league with hashtag united !

Saw a tweet from Belgian journo stating that BEK has a reasonable release clause (presumably on relegation )
