I wonder if they will contact us to discuss our defence etc on the understanding that it’s all kept out of the public domain? That’s too restrictive courts would never allow that once challenged under employment law you might get away with two years which takes the player to 18 and therefore you get the chance to play them and build a value in the event they leave at 18.

very unlikely be the company that pays the majority of any claim. It will have insurance. However, it’s never going to be a payout on that scale. I imagine that the family are hoping that a settlement can be agreed out of court for a few hundred million. The insurance companies may decide to go to court.
