  1. Maybe but he’ll still come on as a sub so it’s not like he’ll be banished from the squad. be a good test of his mentality - being challenged to lift his game to get selected. We need fighters
  2. Mavs was overplayed last season and pretty much ran out of steam by March im hoping that copper rotates starts and in game subs more effectively than previous coaches have so we can retain intensity throughout games right through to may. And also avoid any injuries through too many games at high intensity. also, fats had periods of inconsistency last season. He’s young. Making them play when they’re off their game won’t be of any use to us.
  3. Is this the only connection with premier league ??
  4. Dodgy texts
  5. You’ll all be apologising when we get 10m from al ahli next summer …..
  6. So he gets the same nett as he would in turkey So there is no tax avoidance - it’s being paid - just effectively by us !
  7. We’d be paying his increased wages so would not be enabling tax avoidance but we aren’t prepared to pay that inflated wage whether wolves judge that paying £16m/18m over two years is worth it I wouldn’t know
  8. Tax year begins april he would have to pay a big chunk of tax on five months earnings. I don’t see how it could be as high as it’s been reported looking backwards. Clearly his new salary would have to be around 170k/week to cover his future earnings at a similar level to what he’s taking home in Turkey.
  9. Yes but if they don’t have to pay gala a fee then they may be able to pay him a very high salary in lieu of no fee. Gala will be happy to get him off their books.
  10. Then we’re screwed cos Percy said he’s having his medical today strange that cooper said we’re further away from deals than we were last week and then it’s reported that ayew is having a medical ??
  11. He’s currently on talkSPORT so that makes sense!
  12. Perhaps rudders didn’t understand he only needed to get one player from the list ……….
  13. Sadly it’s just another reflection of poor journalism - this time at the beeb. I’m afraid that standards are dropping and we have to get used to it
  14. If we want this fella then we’ll go to the wire to extract the best deal from Chelsea who will be desperate come next Friday
  15. Probably something we had to agree with Atalanta at some point to stop them sending congerton back here ….. ’yeah - we promise to buy some dead wood off you for £12m’
  16. We’ve not been a physically imposing side for many years - even the winning PL side only had proper height in the CB’s always watched the teams shaking hands before kick off and most games looked like the U16 v U21 !
  17. It’s possible (unlikely) that we’ve offered him a salary of 35k and he’s currently on 60k so we’re paying palace 1.25m extra on the fee for them to pay him his missing salary for the year left on his contract
  18. Double it I saw an article on Chelsea where it stated that the average PL wage is £72k Of course the rich six pay lots of their players way more than that but there are 14 other clubs to bring that average down. Reckon the average in the other 14 is around 55/60k.
  19. Have we made peace with West Ham’s ownership yet ?
  20. Seriously! has this already been pointed out ? deal as good as done
  21. Officially - you’re right I’d assume that his parents would already be bombarded with requests (and promises )
  22. Presumably they know what direction the wind will be blowing ahead of being anchored so can anchor into the wind. the issue with this was they were struck by a waterspout which is a tornado so winds are from all directions !
