Injury prone ? he’s missed 1 game each last two seasons according to the table put up earlier. he had a bad pubic injury a few years ago which is a concern because it reminds me of madders but he isn’t that type of player so may not be as much of an issue.

Glad to see all those who moaned about the winks deal are moaning about this one he’s 23 he’s got inherrent value because he has two more decent sales in his career.

20m+ is a bit on the high side but if we want the player and there was some competition for him the levy is always going to squeeze a bit more than most out of the buying club we can easily sell him for 10m. in two years so not much risk although a few mill o/spend

spurs aren’t big payers he signed his deal in 2022 when he was 21 i reckon he’s earning max 40k we could probably get him for 60k if we’re prepared to give him an viable exit via a reasonable release clause he’s more decent than most appreciate cos he’s not had enough game time there. he’s not top six levels. But he’s more than good enough for us. as far as having too many players for positions is concerned, I’m rather hoping that we see a team playing with real intensity which means we need to rotate more than we have become used to.

But it’s not practical imo - in the end the money will always win eg communism - those near the top or involved in the party aren’t subjected to the same rules as the masses. It’s just another form of capitalism (and one where any meritocracy doesn’t really exist). Sadly, Human nature will always have its say. even on the kibbutz where it’s said that true equality exists, I’m sure there are a few decision makers who exploit their position.

I go to St Albans when I can with my youngest atmosphere is great - friendly banter with opposition fans irrespective of the result (unless it’s Hemel - we hate Hemel) change ends at half time so always behind the goal you’re playing towards and the result doesn’t really matter to me which makes it non stressful. I can genuinely appreciate everything that happens on the pitch. food isn’t a rip off and it’s below national league so you can watch the game with a beer

agree with the KDH comments - was thinking about this yesterday we definitely couldn’t ignore psr last year. PSR runs on three year cycles so the PL are quite in order to punish us based on our position at June 30 2024. Whether they are able to do it this season under their accelerated scheme is a question because we weren’t a PL club last season. We may well argue that point and attempt to get any sanction delayed into next season. (Wherever we may be). We will definitely get our sanction to June 2023 this season. If we have failed cycle ending June 2024 then come feb/march if we are marooned and clearly going down would we be able to change our tack on that and try to get the second sanction applied same season? You’d assume that the football league would pressure the PL not to do that so they could finally have their ‘pound of flesh’. we are clearly attempting to control our running breach - otherwise we’d just be spending big to avoid being turned down by players and agents). I think we are clearly struggling to meet psr obligations and trying to keep the breaches to a level where we will take a 3 point hit (I think to June 23 will be 6). EDIT: the sun are clueless as per the enzo 50m comment which was completely without context and highlighted their ignorance.

I don’t think you can stop someone from accumulating wealth - human nature and politics just wouldn’t make it practical. You can make sure that they pay their way though. I mean even if that forces them at the very least to be philanthropic (with govt oversight to avoid it being self serving). paying effective tax rates on the accumulated wealth would obviously be the best way but not sure that’s ever going to happen.
