the selling club usually does the deal on their terms the shambles at our club means we have to sell the player on someone else’s terms !

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

These clubs have been doing deals in the same week - even one day apart ! they’ve also been questionable under ‘fair value’ if done sensibly it’s less obvious I mean we could have sold a player 14 June and bought one tomorrow. That’s a couple weeks apart and less likely to raise eyebrows the rules need addressing -
Simply not putting one cross/clear mark inside one box spoils your paper Officially you have to mark a cross in a single box but if it’s obvious to the returning officer that you are voting for someone then they will likely count your vote (ie if you tick a box). Otherwise it’s counted as spoiled last time I wrote against each candidate why I couldnt vote for them 😀 made me feel better !

I may have to do the same as 2019 and spoil my paper

Occurs to me that there is an even simpler solution two clubs with ffp issues decide on a player in the other club that they would swap over for next season. Each club sells the player to the other buying club has to allocate 20% of the fee into year 1 psr selling club receives all the income in year 1 psr twelve months later the same deal happens in the opposite direction. Player not happy so wants to go back is the excuse - there is a buyback clause in place. It becomes like a psr loan where the benefit is all up front and the cost spread over five seasons the deals don’t have to be excessive away from fair market value how can they be challenged ?? Have I missed something ?? -
Nothing in life is free ! 😄 I understand where you’re coming from

He’s not an economist he’s a simple populist with little depth he will generally do ‘well’
-
Wouldn’t be 15m on the books because we’d still owe 12m would be 3m so the loan effective costs 3m benefits them across the next five years though
-
And there are existing rules around fair market value with transactions between multi owned clubs

You’ll never be @superhorns or @The Bear ………..

I believe Chelsea are now immune for 23/24. How much wriggle room they have to allot 20% of kdh’s fee is the question. it’s not a secret Bert! Yes Maresca starts 1 july i assume that means we don’t get the comp until season 24/25 We just want a cash deal re psr I assume that the idea of players coming the other way is if the deal stalls at eg. £32m, then we may demand that they agree to sell us (or loan) a player next month at an attractive price to compensate for the shortfall on our valuation
-
what happens if we really really really need the deal doing by sunday and they wont pay more than 30 ??? i guarantee that in that scenario our need is greater than theirs.

taking aside our obvious bias, if you were alves' advisors, the only reason you'd sign a new deal now is if you were concerned about picking up another injury. Getting a potential career ending injury at 18 must elevate the desire to sign a big money deal asap (a rich six would think nothing of paying a 20yo 75k). we aren't in a position to do that - you would think alves would be advised to sign a three year deal here at 30k. at least that sticks a few million in the bank in the event he doesn't have a good season. if he doesn't sign anything and things go wrong for him then he could end up struggling to pick up a deal at a few grand per week elsewhere. -
Surely ffp means swaps and player inclusions are less likely ? Clubs need all the monies in rather than depleted values due to player inclusions ?? If you mean ‘effective’ swaps with a deal in both directions then I agree
-
Thats a sensible post but I think they may have more experienced options we’d look at We don’t have time to finalise loans sensibly this side of July we just have to get them to agree a list we can choose from the fee will tell us just how much shit we’re in ….. we shouldn’t be selling for less than £35m
-
The player wants to go to Ipswich

Romano clueless again on us just as we dropped our interest in potter because of its complexity, if Chelsea what to buy kdh then they’d better keep it simple (straight cash) and do it within 48 hours or it just won’t happen (and we will use this as mitigation in our hearing). We had a deal with Brighton agreed pre June 30 and then Chelsea came along and the player changed his mind. how can we be responsible for not meeting our psr numbers on that basis ??
-
Yeah - that’s my point trump’s supporters are pretty much all in on him irrespective on anything there will be many who voted for Biden last time who will not bother voting on the basis that they can see it won’t be Biden who is in office for v long

Chelsea have apparently dealt with their psr issues for 23/24. Buying a player for 35m (7m into their neg column for 23/24 would be unlikely to screw them up). however, they may make the argument that they’re tight and therefore to make the deal happen before Sunday mean they can afford 25m max. If we are forced to accept because of our circumstances then we must surely demand they loan us a couple of players (and at low rates) There is no benefit in swap deals because of how psr works - Brighton are clear of any issues so have no care what season their purchases and sales are in we make the sale before June 30 we make the purchase after July 1 that has largest psr benefit for 23/24 which is looking like the most pressing issue. Let’s see what’s happened by Monday - that will tell us more about how we view our situation with the efl/epl

I heard it described as two old men in daycare arguing over the tv remote ! I think many voters who don’t want to vote for trump will find themselves not voting at all rather than voting for biden. will that be enough for trump to win ???
-
If Chelsea’s interest is real then he wants to go there. none of our players refuses a move to a rich six team - this isn’t summer 2016! that’s my point if they can’t complete a deal by Sunday then we likely have no interest in it. But the player becomes unsettled.
-
Agree i reckon if Chelsea’s interest is real then KDH may well decide he doesn’t want to go to brighton and if Chelsea can’t get a deal done by Sunday then we may decide we don’t want to sell him till Jan or next June which could well upset the player good luck Steve !
-
Can we stop dissing KDH boehly is probably going to check this thread out before bidding 😉

Moder isn’t part of a deal unless we’ve stumbled upon an accounting practice no one has ever seen before !

That wouldn’t cause amnesia …..
