  1. Chelsea everton Newcastle forest i reckon we would have been on the list if we’d have been a PL club if there’s some momentum building then I reckon you can add villa to that list but can’t see them getting anywhere near 14 so doubt villa will break cover - the current arrangement places them ahead of the ‘other 13’ with their CL qualification. A bit like us a few years ago where we were comfortable to be able to spend more than our natural competition in the league under the existing rules
  2. This is a common sense free zone Please leave
  3. He must feel v important by this stage in negotiations…… you’d think he has lots to do this summer re player contract negs and prospective ins/outs
  4. No more than our fans kicking off at a similar thing but we won’t be replacing kdh with close to the same level player
  5. Can only amortise over 5 years now
  6. before June 30 Selling Gallagher for 50m = 50m added to their bottom line re psr buying kdh for 40m = 8m deducted from their bottom line re psr ( 8m per season for 5 seasons ) result = + 42m for their psr numbers this season
  7. Borson said this morning that if we were positively engaging with the PL since we were charged then it’s feasible our sanction could be 4 points. He said we could potentially approach them and negotiate this penalty without a hearing needed.
  8. I’m sure I read somewhere that it isn’t Newcastle EDIT: reported this evening that Everton, Chelsea and Newcastle are expected to support Man City. I think it was Chelsea who were already behind them be interesting what we do given the hole we’re in.
  9. Let’s hope he had his magic wand with him then
  10. Watching some of farage’s interviews yesterday reveals he’s going full on trump Be interesting to see how long the electorate here indulge him
  11. But accounting doesn’t work like that - it’s annual, not over five year periods. (And contract start dates obvs vary ) if you demand £100m is deposited by the owner to cover the five years salary and transfer fee of a player then how do you stop the club using that money to pay for other things in that particular year. Effectively you’re expecting the clubs to potentially be carrying hundreds of millions of pounds cash to cover future commitments. I cannot see how it’s workable and manageable by the authorities
  12. It’s not specifically to do with the 115 charges but if they win then the charges become redundant because fair value deals aren’t valid and therefore they can’t have broken any rules with their dodgy commercial sponsorships
  13. So the club is gifted the money to pay wages and fees what happens in year three if the owner disappears at the end of year 2 - who funds the huge wages and transfer fee instalments for years 3 to 5 ?? ref Man City - this is going to be a free for all if it gets through. For us it works next season because king power renegotiate their sponsorships of the shirts and stadium. But it opens up a giant free for all across the league - not sure how it fits into uefa ffp though because they definitely have fair value rules and they won’t be bound by any legal edicts here.
  14. Still too long to mean anything.
  15. You think? corberan is the only one on that list who calls rudkin straight back
  16. This was addressed a few years ago by the authorities any bonus must be paid in the season to which it relates There are some ways around it - you could have a clause in your contract that says you get a pay rise of x percent if promotion is achieved. But then that means your basic goes up for the remainder of your deal (and players who are out of contract definitely have to be paid in season)
  17. Release clauses ? Reckon we’ve chucked away close to a hundred million quid by not allowing release clauses in contracts - yeah hindsight is great but our policy has never sat right with me on this. Encourages players to see out their deals by driving them into their final year.
  18. Saying nothing ……..
  19. Yes whilst many think the consequences of CC will be a hot arid arid climate, there will be parts of the world where it is just damper and milder which could lead to unknown effects re agriculture (effects on insects being an obvious one)
  20. As is the norm, the data needs to be analysed more closely than a straight headline I suspect that a more damp climate with less lower night time temps could have consequences for our flora, fauna, insects etc
  21. Meteorological Spring (March - may) in the U.K. (and may) was warmest on record. That’s a surprise given the dullness and wetness but the reason is that with so many cloudy nights, min temps were way above the average (rather than high daytime temps drawing the average up)
  22. or he decided to stay at Ipswich after Chelsea decided on enzo ……
  23. If this is where we go then it’s going to fun if the epl and efl get their houses in order on applying sanctions in each others domain. can imagine that being a legal minefield if they tried to apply it to us ‘retrospectively’
  24. im guessing that they agreed to pay the full compensation if we agreed to put it into next year that would indicate that we may be happy to go all in on our efl breach and take the chance that we stay up and therefore avoid the efl sanction 25/26. it’s ridiculous to say that he won’t be working for Chelsea before 1 July and it would be easy for us to take them/him to court over it if we hadn’t been ok to agree the 1 July date. (it’s already reported in the media that he’s been watching videos of all Chelsea’s playing staff from last season. )
