Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
st albans fox replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
People suggesting different ways it could be implemented are missing the point. It can only be used based on existing IFAB protocols. my understanding is that the people who matter - club owners, will want to retain it (apart from wolves and forest). Expect no change. -
Once ? other time was may ??

apparently in life threatening condition (Rather more concerning than another Tory crossing the floor)

The basic point is that there is pretty much no ‘policing’ of the supposed ‘safe’ social media platforms - seeing is no longer believing. We are headed into a very murky future

I’ve spent way too long this past week or two going down rabbit holes on twitter relating to the politics of the Middle East. If I wasn’t ‘balanced’ and I was easily led then the basic untruths being put out there as facts would get stuck pretty easily. Infact you wouldn’t need to be easily led - just having a slight leaning to one side or another and whoosh - you’re gone!

Percy article enzo set to stay, vardy and vesty new deals
st albans fox replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
Would like to know what the deal is on vesty - if it’s a years extension then it won’t cost us too much but if it’s a proper contract then we’ll effectively have to re sign him with a s/o fee. so if it’s publicised on social media that we’ve given him a three year deal on 75k then 15k/week (2.25m) could be the s/o fee portion. -
Looking through the list they are not an issue for them most they will be happy to let go and a few they have options to buy
-
Yep - never buy off the back of one outstanding season

Then he must have taken a v large s/o fee as part of his remuneration over the period of his contract. we had him on loan for a few months and he was resident in Monaco for a short period between the end of the loan and the start of his Lcfc contract. I wonder if the s/o fee can be paid whilst still a Monaco resident and therefore not subject to tax ??? -

Imo, one of our biggest issue was not accepting release clauses (after Kante) we ended up paying too much in wages and ended up without fees in more cases than was necessary -

Yes he wasn’t on the standard 80k but he was on double plus a bit what you’ve quoted -
I think he’s missing some shouldn’ts and shoulds but his point is that it used to be about the money and now it isn’t! He justifies this by saying if it was about money then there wouldn’t be girona and us And if it were just the money then United and Chelsea would be competing for the title every season which they aren’t he’s half right

Correct the PL will judge that the amounts paid/received are fair value. It could be that they’ve now done a second deal (for the training ground) in order to try and force the first one through at the very least. Working out a fair value for the training ground will be difficult. these type deals are not allowed n the efl -
It’s worrying because if kids are spending a lot of time on TikTok (which they are) then their view of the world is clearly going to be from a Chinese slanted perspective based on that graph. I’ve spent a lot of time in China amongst people who are very well educated and have travelled extensively in the west (mainly for business ) their view of world affairs is very different to ours and lacks balance. Please don’t think that china’s govt influence is restricted purely to south East Asian affairs (just as the USA ‘meddle’ in every corner of the globe)

It seems chelsea have performed the same trick in this financial year too having taken cobham training ground into their ownership ten years ago for approx £20m, they’ve sold it to another group Co for around £150m I suppose they must be confident of getting the hotel through if they’ve bothered to do this mind you, justifying the hotel appreciating in value in prime west London housing space is one thing - having what is effectively arable farming land in Surrey go up that much is quite another. Surely the authorities would require at least having planning permission to build houses in place to allow that ?? checking club badge ……. Nah -

I look at some of the stud layouts on boots these days and wonder if they’ve actually done research into how likely they are to stick in the turf etc im sure they’ve done the testing to see if they provide better traction when trying to push off or move from foot to foot but I wonder about the dangers to the knee of course I’ve no idea of this particular issue was impact cause. There seem to be many knee ligament issues nowadays - cartilage less so than a few decades ago but ligaments moreso -
That was the wierd thing Take out the politics and the Israeli song should have done well with the jury and not the public - it was artistically v sound but lacked something that the public need to get behind. the Croatian song reflected that - was one for the public and not the juries the French one attracted support both ways. I’m not surprised that the juries realised that they had the responsibility to avoid the issue of Israel winning. Allowing the public to vote 20 times (or whatever it is) seems bizarre (although good for telecoms business’ )
