  1. The striker has the ball within playing distance - it’s up to the defender to avoid contact the striker can move his legs to shield the ball
  2. What minute for the equaliser ? what minute for the winner ?
  3. They’re relentless but they give way too much away at the back. They cannot win the rest of their games on that basis alone. They will come unstuck once or twice. I got it wrong that they would drop away due to conceding so many because they refreshed their forward options in January and that really worked out well for them as even when they let a couple in, they simply outscore the opposition.
  4. The last thing the anti conspiract theory lobby needed in the run up to the eclipse was a sig tremor in NYC it really is incredible how stoopid so many Americans are. I mean we have lots of stoopid people here but they get why an eclipse happens
  5. Depends if he prefers playing vards at millwall I reckon he’ll decide daka is better for that one
  6. The second loan is effectively invoice finance where a transfer fee has been drawn down immediately and interest paid against the instalments as they fall due and are paid. the larger loan which is presumably needed to fund some of the day to day running of the business is secured against PL monies due in and should be settled by this summer. In an ideal world we would be using the PL monies after we’ve received them and be ahead of our expenditure. But we know we’re not and it’s costing us the interest.
  7. Do we know what we owe Macquarie and at what rates? have we actually drawn down those loans or are they available as and when required? business’ need cash and if the rates they can borrow it at is less than the return they can generate by using it then it makes sense to borrow it
  8. pretty sure that it’s common knowledge that Qatar sent money to Gaza ever month to pay the staff that ran the ‘govt’ and territory. I read an article that explained someone actually had to travel to Egypt and then across from a rafah with the cash. Sounds crazy but apparently it was true. Police, fire and security personnel, health staff, bus drivers etc etc etc. there are hundreds of thousands of people that each month had to be paid. Hamas had to pay them and Israel obviously took the decision that without authorising this each month, law and order inside Gaza would break down. I think there is something being made of this in that interview that didn’t exist. However, what I don’t understand is why the minister wouldn’t state that.
  9. Spending tens of millions in an attempt to earn tens of millions by qualifying for the CL seems a bit strange as a business plan. I appreciate that there are more nuances than that but the potential downside was so large compared to the possible upside - unless there was stuff going on behind the scenes that we knew nowt about re possible club sale related to continued achievements.
  10. nunes came on as a sub last night selling palmer for £45m is good for their psr and the kid obviously wanted to play more than pep would allow him to
  11. Man City aren’t getting any help from this re their o/s charges
  12. I didn’t see your post in October referencing hamas ? Nor a few years ago when the Americans bombed weddings in Iraq and Afghanistan both your post and mine will be removed btw
  13. As I said, 5th gets CL 😄
  14. The ‘scramble’ for an investor is probably related to the news today. Joe Lewis isn’t putting anything in now and levy doesn’t have assets
  15. Doesn’t matter 5th gets CL
  16. There’s a big difference between staying down and going up in addition, even if we stay down it won’t be as easy as you think to get rid of some players who are still earning more here than they could elsewhere. you know janiick is out of contract ? His good season will get him a two year deal somewhere
  17. Man U aren’t catching villa are they we got chased down both seasons we failed to make it
  18. Whilst any change won’t affect stuff that’s already happened, the future for Chelsea looked pretty tough for a few seasons and this change would certainly help them. It certainly won’t be much help for spurs who run a tight ship re psr and Man City who have got themselves into a very good place re psr. I’d say that this change in general is going to be more beneficial for the other 14 than the rich six.
  19. It’s interesting - whatever rules the PL come up with, unless uefa change their ffp rules then you can only spend 70% of your turn over so a club could decide to go all in to win the PL and not be bothered about the champions league because uefa wouldn’t allow them to enter …. (Newcastle ? )
  20. The rules are set to end June 24. The clubs you listed above will have to sell this season.
  21. I would they are now the most profitable of the rich six so have no interest in changing the rules
  22. not based on this they arent charged with overspends
  23. Some would argue that top is doing that already with rudders at the wheel !
