The alternative for inter is they get nothing in and have to pay him. We can then move his s/o fee etc into next years accounts by taking him July 1st

i presume you can spread out the s/o fee across the contract length by having it as a salary. (Assuming no tax imolications). We probably avoided that in the past few years because our salary numbers were too high and there are limits as to how much they can increase season on season. The goalposts may have moved a bit on that with all the players out of contract and gone over last summer and next. however, i can see a big sale pushed through in june even if we go up to make this years accounts smell better. Our three year rolling number must be well whiffy.

How do we know that the story about mcatee choosing to go to sheff u wasn’t put out there to protect the boy after we couldn’t complete as kdh stayed. It never really made sense that he was at our TG if he wanted sheff u. I would have expected Man City and mcatee to have decided against us with kdh staying here because of a lack of game time.

We may have told them we were doing the sensi deal anyway because another player is leaving them recalling him is better for the player than us sending him back or having him a 70th min sub in most games and has anyone mooted the idea that they had a recall clause if he failed to play a certain no of available minutes ??? I’m sure they would prefer (and expected) him to play more than he has.

Even if that were true, makes no sense to do it ahead of a game weekend he isn’t going to be competing for a squad place at Chelsea straight away. If he left next Tuesday then I get it. I wonder if we told him and Chelsea that he wouldn’t be getting as much game time because we intended to sign sensi and he would be behind him.
