  1. It surely wouldn’t be so expensive to build a decent sized tunnel from the West Bank to Gaza - gazans seem pretty good at tunnelling! there is also no way that any state of Palestine would be allowed a military by Israel. - certainly not for the initial decades. Its security would have to be guaranteed by the Americans, Egyptians, Jordanians. as for the comments of the ambassador- what would you expect to see from a Torquay hotel window? She is a long standing ‘settler’ and her politics are firmly on the right of Likud. BN has to keep the extremist parties onside to maintain his govt once the conflict has stopped. He’s going to be under enormous political pressure as the enquires begin. It would probably only take one party to withdraw support for a GE to happen. Whilst it would seem ridiculous for one of the extremist parties to come away from the coalition, politics is a strange place.
  2. Some decent debate on here (though I don’t accept all the equivalence) im wondering what the international community really pushing netenyahu into a corner may do for his political future. I’d think it could make him last longer because the Israeli people value their future on a higher level than the Palestinians. BN will portray this as the west forcing them to make a choice (which isn’t what is happening but can be spun as such). i just think leaders need to speak v carefully because they could inadvertently prolong netneyahu’s time as PM and also the length of the current conflict in Gaza.
  3. Enzo knows this but brighton have managed to play this style with several players who wouldnt have been considered up to it before potter got his hands on them
  4. Look at it this way leeds would do v well to take 2 points per game for the rest of the season that gets them to 91 So we need 40 points from 25 games thats roughy one win in two do you think we’ll manage that ??
  5. Just saw the replay for the first time and wondering that myself infact if this was a prem game then I suspect he may well have had a brace
  6. But they’ve all happened in the last six games
  7. Once he’d been crunched where he should, have had a pen, he only managed one more one on one in the game.. whether that was down to millwall changing how they defended him or his desire to take on his man would be the question
  8. A buffer could only be argued to be security against incursions (but they can’t stop the building of tunnels into Israel). obviously the longer the.tunnels have to be the more difficult it is though. Rockets will reach Israel from all areas of Gaza - no buffer will make any difference to that Biden is now beginning to hang netenyahu out to dry - he doesn’t have long to continue this and as I’ve said many times, he won’t last long politically once the war is over.
  9. He was much more aggressive second half in his defensive duties - being on the front foot is better for the way we want to play
  10. He’s better than that. Remember that he’s a stronger right back on his favoured foot. someone like palace
  11. He thinks he’s so much better than this level when he’s just better. takes an extra split second to try and draw a foul when it’s just not necessary Will save us more points than he loses us this season but he should just be professional about it
  12. He probably walked into his Xmas tree …..
  13. 3k Plymouth fans 2 Saturdays before Xmas reflects we are pretty much the biggest away game for ‘smaller’ clubs this season.
  14. Which do you think is more likely ?
  15. I guess the goal is considered punishment enough without also giving the keeper a yellow (or even a red for denying a goal scoring opportunity?)
  16. Core strength is not something that’s obvious just looking at someone i mean Perez looked a decent physical specimen but was blown over in a light breeze
  17. He won’t have a choice in the end. The Americans aren’t going to continue to finance the war ad infinitum and putin is never going to leave without territorial gains. I just think the pressure to do it sooner will be strong and the potential for ukraine to end up losing much more if they don’t make a deal is very real. It’s clear to Russia that theymade a huge error when they invaded ukraine - I doubt they’ll do it again in the future if they leave with crimea and a secure well buffered land bridge to the Black Sea ports
  18. of course if the next tranche of us aid doesn’t get approved next couple weeks then all bets are off because zelensky will suddenly be in v weak position. That’s why I think if it is approved , that Kiev will be very keen to try and get something done in the new year. Otherwise they risk losing a lot more and perhaps not having to wait for a republican win next autumn because the next aid package could easily be voted down. As you say, putin can afford to play the longer game here. (Unless there is military stuff we aren’t aware of )
  19. Not surprisingly this thread has been quiet - reflects how little progress has been made by either side ahead of the freezing winter now begun I think zelensky needs to accept realpolitik and make the best deal he can once the Americans have agreed the next tranche of funding he can’t do anything until then because putin knows he’s in a v weak position
  20. Bossing the game - impressive
  21. Fewer people are reading papers ? Surely that will make a difference ??? social media will soon be more important than newspapers!
  22. Apparently jenrick has resigned because the new Rwanda legislation doesn’t go far enough breaking the ECHR rules apparently isn’t strong wnough ! sunak is in big trouble although cannot see how they could change leader again !
  23. He always fulfilled that potential against us !
  24. He generally knows his onions but maybe he’s thinking of him as a CB whereas enzo would use him as a LB
