  1. Can’t see him dropping Jakub Otherwise I reckon that is going to be accurate (if he has the balls to drop ayew)
  2. Because the story wasn’t that the administration is racist (we all know this) - the story is the negative response and embarrassment of those who support the administration Dog bites man is not news the opposite is
  3. Should our security services have been more aware of what was in these files. Would the fbi have rejected MI6 asking for access to see what was in them re British interests (primarily Andrew and Mandelson)? starmer must have known that there could be stuff in the files that would be bad news for associates of Epstein. The fact he took that risk without having anything other than mandelson’s assurances doesn’t fit with his safety first approach to most things. There must be stuff we haven’t been told because I just don’t buy Starmer taking such a gamble.
  4. Anyone in any position of responsibility in this country would have to resign (or be sacked) the USA is a weird place
  5. I thought the parachute payments were based on the average earned over the previous three seasons in the PL prior to relegation. I may have misunderstood this back in 2023
  6. Did we receive larger para payments due to our previous good placements in the league ?
  7. Love that they picked the right journo to write the article
  8. Man City’s charges are from way before us challenging for the CL dodgy sponsorship deals back to 2009/2018
  9. Typical MOT 🤮 (I had seen😄)
  10. Man City’s misdemeanours were over a number of years and go back to the period where we were promoted and then won the league. That’s going to be quite a stretch for anyone to take a case on a specific season.
  11. Has anyone made the point that a 7 point deduction (reduced to 6 with mitigation) removes any possibility that Leeds could take a case against us for denying them promotion that season ?
  12. Luckily we have a group of players who will apply themselves and drag us out of this mess - oh hang on ..
  13. Literally millions of docs we can see already now messy the redactions are because victims have been exposed the instruction to just release within a period of time was well intentioned but has had some bad consequences. And there are millions more docs still to be released.
  14. The Epstein Russian angle … surely if he was a Russian asset, he would have fled to Russia once the heat started to come from NYC feds
  15. The old saying lie down with dogs and end up with fleas Starmer probably thought that mandelson would be a good appointment to liaise with the trump administration based on his past friends and acquaintances. Well suited as a dodgy operator to interact with the dodgiest operators ever in govt. the Epstein stuff was just unedifying and nothing that wasn’t already known about would come out. massive risk and I’m certain that was pointed out to him but he judged that having someone that the trump people would get along with and would trust was more important. and now he has fleas
  16. The person charged wasn’t acquitted but neither were they found guilty. So unless the cps decides to ask for a retrial, that person will not be sent down at all. as Mac has posted, jury nullification is complex. I think it’s a slippery slope and whilst some are extremely happy and celebrating today’s outcome, they could just as easily be horrified with an outcome in six months time. I think lammy will look at this and come under a lot of pressure from the police to press ahead with his plans.
  17. Ok maybe I can bring the subject to something we are allowed to comment on jury trials - do today’s events make it more or less likely that the govt will press ahead with ending jury trials for all but the most serious cases
  18. Would barely make the local borough news in London why the secrecy unless someone has died and next of kin not yet informed ?
  19. Thousands of Epstein documents taken down after victims identified https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn0k65pnxjxo What about the victims ???? seems that the public’s demands for transparency are more important than them the idea that millions of docs could be processed and released within a few months was ridiculous - the courts and the two houses should have thought about that with some clarity
  20. Wonder how many people have turned off itv and turned on sky to get away from that bloke shouting close to mattaface’s microphone
  21. He’s physically strong something we’re sadly lacking 1 to 11 keeper weak in contact full backs - weak centre backs - weak midfiled - weak strikers - weak wingers - weak It’s no surprise that without being prepared to run further than the opposition that we’re coming out second most weeks. We can’t complete in physical battles so unless you’re able to put more effort in then you’re going to lose without some luck rescuing you.
  22. I think that’s good for trump. He can say that Epstein disliked him because he wouldn’t be part of his dreadful pimpathon Makes a change form mossad. Maybe Epstein was playing them both off against each other and also CIA and MI6 ….. seems a convenient theory for the west to now peddle …. (for clarity that’s not what I believe. )
  23. We should expect news within days (maybe sooner) now the window has shut a lack of news would mean we are in legal arguments with the authorities
  24. rudders just found out it isn’t 11pm !
