  1. Of course but we’ll be in a very weak position re the fee same for all academy products like Nelson, Hutchinson
  2. Until we gave him a 30k/week deal when he turns pro ( unaffordable in league 1)
  3. Palace may offload glasner before the summer when he was leaving anyway presumably Franck the favourite if they do ???
  4. Absolutely we shouldn’t I’m just making the point that Starmer is again playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun when he could fill it with blanks We should always be appointing the best person for the job. But this is politics and Starmer has been ‘unlucky’ a number of times already and as a realist, I know we have another 3 years at least of this government and I’m concerned who would be PM if he was forced out. Fwiw, I consider him a capable PM in a difficult position (global politics is a minefield).
  5. 100% but there are differences between ‘pissing someone off’ and generating written accusations of bullying from more than one source. all I’m saying is that politically he should be more careful about his appointments because an excuse ‘how could I have known’ won’t wash for the umpteenth time. he’s exhausted that excuse after the mandelson debacle.
  6. Other clubs have fallen foul of psr whilst in the PL (like villa and Newcastle ) but they’ve found a creative way of traversing the problem. (Eg selling academy products to each other at inflated values). The fact that our board were incapable of finding a way of kicking the psr can down the road is why we’re here. our solution was to stop trading and hope the manager could keep the ship afloat in the higher reaches of the league. naive and ultimately pretty much suicidal.
  7. Well done Switzerland for allowing us to play them in the semi 😄
  8. Cabinet secretary frontrunner faced multiple bullying complaints https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn0zjw5pz48o you could write this journalists will be going into overdrive looking for employees that have been bullied by Romeo now she’s been appointed. If they do find them and incidents emerge that lead to Starmer having to dismiss her, he’ll claim that there was no way he could have known. How about you just choose someone who hasn’t got multiple complaints made against them !!
  9. I might be wrong but I think the PL clubs voted to allow Chelsea’s purchases of hotel and ladies team and then to amend the rules. (Rather than the PL board changing the rules) im not surprised we’ve appealed given where we are. The board will be shocked that having sacked cifuentes, the wins didn’t just appear …. Almost as if 2022/23 never happened.
  10. Mandeslon must be expecting. a knock on the door wonder if he’ll suddenly have an appointment in a country without an extradition treaty …….
  11. Doubt it unless there were other govt officials who were tied up with JE. you’d have expected the press to have found them over the years. Andrew and Mandy were well known close associates. Sadly the sexual exploitation is going to be very tough to prosecute.
  12. There isn’t an easy answer all I know is that Epstein died more than six years ago (and that sexual exploitation ring hopefully with him) Do we know if the Americans are providing access to the documents without redactions to British police? kids are being raped today id just rather save the twelve year olds who are about to be drawn into that cycle as my primary concern. otherwise in twenty years time we’ll be talking about more enquires in the same way as the grooming gang stuff now and we’ll wonder how it happened
  13. I have no idea if the bbc report is true them I’m sure that this isn’t a new thing and I’ve not seen any arrests/trials/prosecutions reported in the media. Therefore my deduction would be that not enough resources are being put into dealing with it. I’m just working on the basis that organisations are usually reactive rather than pro active and will want to be seen to be doing everything they can in response to the public/media concerns. So possibly going overboard to avoid being accused of not doing enough. the list of forces posted above just got me thinking about it.
  14. Same charge as mandelson. much easier to prove than the sex offences
  15. We don’t have the resources to do both to the level required. There are millions of Epstein docs (and millions more to come). im not saying dont attend the the Epstein stuff. - just don’t pour in too much resources when there are kids being raped and abused today which should be the priority.
  16. Meanwhile the bbc are reporting on gangs in London exploiting young teenage girls NOW. Sometimes we get too busy looking at the forest that we don’t see the trees ! Teenage girls lured into forced sex by gangs in London, BBC finds https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjd9xnjyy8po This is where resources should be pointed. The Epstein investigation can be lower profile whilst kids who are being abused now are rescued (and those profiteering from it are dealt with).
  17. Given the defeats Man City had last month, how the hell can arsenal not win this league ??? (actually took 2 points from. 9 - only one defeat)
  18. So the Swiss and Canadians are both qualified for the semis they are up a against the Norwegians and Italians tomorrow If either of them lose, then the British qualify for the semis if they both lose then the Norwegians and Italians qualify Surely they’re better off both losing and not having Great Britain in the final 4 ???
  19. You are Top and I claim my prize !
  20. Daka of course he spends almost as much time as ayew on the floor with the added bonus of providing assists to the opposition when defending
  21. No idea about now my recollection is that 22 to 23 whilst still in the PL was an increase of approx 50%. They had consultants in to review the whole corporate side and they decided that there needed to be a bigger difference between the different areas so the top couple were hiked big time. the increase season on season from.2015 to 2022 was reasonable (approx 5%).
  22. lightning to strike twice ?? (Although not at home and it’s not his previous club). On 21 October 2019, Rowett was appointed as the new Millwall manager, succeeding Neil Harris, who left after more than four years in the post.[48] On his debut five days later, the team won 2–0 at home to his previous club Stoke.
