  1. if the obligation is pre June 30 26 then it matters not to us if they’re covering his wages and paying a decent transfer fee. If it’s after that then they’d need to pay a loan fee this season equal to his psr write down and cover his wages. The transfer fee might be several million down if done this way.
  2. We may not be under an official embargo but we know that the league will not be giving us any slack when they assess our management accounts. We are also looking at a tribunal at some point to look at our breach 24/25. You’d assume that a club that is clearly showing itself to be spending well within its means on transfers into the club would be looked upon better than one which isn’t. We didn’t overspend last summer when we went back up and we certainly can’t be accused of doing so this summer. The club can rightly point to their contractual obligations from several years ago still weighing them down and that they have learned their lessons moving forwards with evidence of that re last few windows with few incomings.
  3. I’m amazed that they’re in such bad shape considering what they sold dhuran for in January but apparently they need sales. Reckon spurs would spend 60/65 on Rodgers
  4. Good point im always looking at the amortisation to end previous june when it should be taken as to end next June as we’re now looking at 25/26 accounts
  5. Some chat with Morgan Rodgers to spurs if so, that could allow villa to look at fats (especially as Leon Bailey has gone on loan)
  6. But I don’t think he has the concentration to play as a single pivot either ! I wonder if he’d be better playing as an attacking eight and asked to just carry the ball forwards and clause some chaos in the inevitable 50/50 that occurs when he eventually doesn’t see the challenge coming.
  7. At last !! Brilliant want to see how he does next time he’s in strong contention. He played safe over the last few holes but his driving settled down which made a huge difference. Also helped that no one was able to apply any pressure so it was only his own demons he had to deal with .
  8. If they pay his wages and a loan fee value of his psr write down then it’s no issue for our finances and infact a positive of couple million on the wages. BUT it means next summer he will have one year left and then we know what happens he needs to play this season cos it’s World Cup next summer. If we don’t have an obligation and he plays crap on loan then we won’t be able to shift him next summer either.
  9. They hadn’t thought of it Chelsea ‘announced’ it in April since then villa and Everton have jumped on the bandwagon we couldn’t cos we weren’t a PL club come June 30
  10. I didn’t know kasey had an add on and Leeds aren’t staying up
  11. He did and you can’t 😄
  12. preferred lies on fairways yesterday. Not sure about today. I think he was on the green anyway he seemed to rush that putt.
  13. Can’t do that in the championship if we’d stayed up then we could have
  14. So that’s £5m which ain’t great. 5+5 seems a strange deal. Hopefully the guaranteed elenent is 7m+ ???
  15. God it’s a tough watch! and getting tougher 3 massive holes coming up for him 11/12/13
  16. ‘A deal worth £10m’ that could include add ons
  17. We were told his RC was £30m the papers this morning say that palace have had two bids rejected In reality, we don’t know anything
  18. I mean he could try and prove none of it’s true …..
  19. Wellbek has missed xg around 1.25 on his own!
  20. Everyone knew the eze fee was 60m+ palace had set it at 68m we’ll see what we get when he leaves (if it’s not undisclosed )
  21. Presumably they are intending paying less than that
  22. I think his issue in playing out is that he’s often playing passes ‘too straight’ towards the midfielder or defender. The player receiving the ball doesn’t want a straight pass directly towards him when he’s under pressure. They want to be taking the ball at an angle of some kind (depending where their pressure is coming from).. You’d have thought that if he’s going to master this then he’d have done it by now.
  23. Winks doesn’t really fit the profile cos we only signed him on a three year deal. You’d have thought our intention was to get him to sign a new deal in year 2, try and get a nominal fee end year 2 or to let him walk away at the end of year 3. The walk away was a solid option when we signed him - unlike players on 5 year deals. the shenanigans with Ruud have muddied the waters and if he’s miffed with the club then I van understand that (I may not agree with it). picking skipp ahead of him is strange and must reflect off the pitch considerations.
