I would like to allow you all to share the enjoyable experience I had of today's result. A few of you will know I have not been all that well lately. I'd had a big concert last night, was coaching this morning and then had my pupils dilated at the optician this afternoon. By the time I got home I was ready to rest, and with us being 2-0 down and no signs of things getting better, I chose not to watch the match unfold. However, my phone was still on, and I use Fotmob for scores. I was fast asleep when I heard the magic bell sound that means LCFC have scored, but the second one permeated and so I woke up and saw that in addition, they were down to 10 men. On went the dodgy stream, which then got to about 95 minutes, and of course the stream was lagging, and I rather assumed it was finishing 2-2. And then.... (I cannot recommend this highly enough) the glorious bell dinged once more, and I had about 2 minutes of glorious anticipation of how the winner came about, safe in the knowledge it was worth watching out for. I missed all the rubbish and got a lot of pleasure. And then I went back to sleep

I've always found people of a certain political persuasion to have very thin skin when it comes to having their true motivations challenged.

My impression is that it is taken as insinuating that we are all subject to malign influence, and some people don't like to admit or think about that possibility.
