I read a few posts - I had no idea that players being invited to resign was even a thing.

Come to think of it, I find it somewhat ironic that 'conservative' suggests caution, whereas 'Conservative', has rapidly become 'destroy & pillage everything'.

England is a highly conservative country with a very Conservative voting base. Much as I hate to say it, the only way Starmer gets a clear majority is if the hugely right wing press decides to tell the significant minority voters to do so. Most people won't be swayed - dyed in the wool voters know what they'll do, but some people want to be told the winning side so they herd with the majority. Sad but true.

As a man both of Jewish descent, and having also been ostracised by former friends that happen to be Jewish, can I just state that I have a lot to say but will choose not to say it. What I will say is that it is a total c**t of a situation and nobody comes out of it well.

I am very happy to have as much (relatively) low priced cover as possible - having a resurgent Nestagaard and Coady too just gives cover against suspensions/injuries/loss of form. No longer can we go a season with 14 players and get away with it, and also, players are rarely dropped now so much as rotated. Old-school thinking will take a while to catch up with this.

I think the issue with Winks is, as has been opined often lately, that we don't have a viable alternative in the system we play. I would imagine cover will be sought in January.

Another factor is in giving CC a chance to show his value, whilst keeping him within the positive dynamic. Maybe, just maybe, we have a grown-up manager now.

Players are rotated when we have viable alternatives, regardless of how the rotatee has played recently. Given how BR played players into the ground, it seems a little quaint (or obtuse) to object to it.

Fine - that's your opinion. And yes in time he might end up dropping players longer term, but there's a clear pattern to this. Others have mentioned the plausible suggestion of upcoming international duty. Dropped IS the wrong word, indeed - and because you used it, obviously people will seek to amend it with their opinion.

Players don't get dropped under this manager - I'm wondering when people will start to understand what's being done here. I'm certain the players will understand.
