Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Richmondfox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Do you think Ayew has the awareness that he is shit? There is no way he would sacrifice himself for the greater good when he won't pass to a team mate in a better scoring position. -
Both our wingers would progress overtime if they were pass and move wingers. We constantly get opened up by this yet the tactics are to get the ball to the winger with their back to goal standing still. Thomas proved he is capable of overlapping a winger and Mav proved he can pass the ball to the space ahead and it produced a decent cross yet they don't bother to do it again. Mav will literally skin a player and have space to cross only to then cut back for another go killing all momentum.

King has been part of the coaching staff that has overseen this dross. He is part of the coaching team that hasn't improved any player. Today, to me at least proved that his ideas and techniques were not silenced by Marti as he set the same players up to play exactly the same way.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

King has been part of the coaching team that have allowed this style of play and lack of effort from Ayew to infest this team. Either they don't see a problem or he is beyond managing. If its the later then he should have been outcast like Winks. Ricardo as the most placid captain ever should be pulling him up, the same as the players around. The chance in the 2nd half where he had to beat Page to the ball and ended up missing, if he left it for Page he would've been in front for a tap in. King putting Ayew in and not changing anything about his play lets me know all I need about King as a manager and a coach. Good luck. I'm sure there will be defenders of him that always say, "who should we play instead?" we could play no one and they would have more of a positive impact by not having someone sabotaging the play. -
King started Ayew and allowed him to play exactly the same way as he has, causing the same problems for us rather than the opposition. The defence were playing the high line again and got caught out. Thomas standing around watching a player he should be marking or at least attempt to put off. Nothing changed by putting someone in who has been part of the dross. Mav over playing and under thinking.
-
Of course.
-
But get Mav and Fatawu to actually move forwards into space instead of getting the ball standing still. Everyone is so static waiting for their chance to pass backwards or just punt it.
-
And remind Mav that he is allowed to cross the ball first time and pass to his team mates. King seems to have set them up exactly the same way and not tried to address any of the issues. Over play and under think.
-
Notice Mavadid just standing still. The guy has zero footballing intellect.
-
Sad watching the real time decline of Ricardo this season. Constanly out of position yet unable to recover and defend. He takes so long to throw in and just gives it away, it's like giving away a free kick.
-
We need someone to do something positive in midfield. Whoever is at RB leaves so much space and Ricardo is too slow and not strong enough.
-
Time for King to show some emotion
-
So mavadidi and the clowns are playing exactly the same way. Ignoring Page who went forward on the wing into space.
-
Then they try and play out the back and just give it away. They can play out the back if they actually played it quickly, they take too long to do anything.
-
fawanews
-
By step up, you mean move forwards into space and pass to team mates. Time to remember the basics of being a winger.
-
Hamza can't play anymore cowardly than last week. If he's going to show no desire to do anything positive, he can at least try and pass to Page quickly. King has no reason to be in awe of any of these payers, he's won more than all of them put together. Hr needs to be from but fair and call them out constantly or sub them. Let's see if he has given them different instructions other than Nelson to walk to the hallway line, pass to Ayew to not be able to control and we get countered. Time for Ricardo to think back to 20 games ago when he actually crossed the halfway line and passed the ball forwards. His constant backpassing to Okoli is the start of a lot of chaos. He needs to start telling players where he needs them to move to.
-
For me it's about how they play. If it's exactly the same then King has worked on nothing and can go. We need to stop Ayew being a blocked all over the pitch, the full backs to stop passing backwards and move quickly and the wingers to actually move forwards into space. How slow Nelson plays out eh back will tell me everything I need to know, sadly he now plays like JV rather than when he first came in the team. I can't see King changing anything tactically as he was part of this mess all season. I hope to be proven wrong.
-
It's pointless playing Ayew as he won't stop cheating, being out of position and not passing to his team mates in better positions. He has a negative impact in other areas of the pitch. If they keep playing walking football and trying that stupid pass to Ayew that hasn't worked once all season, then King can get on the bin as well.
-
At some point HR should’ve put Daka on a pip and sent him for retraining in another department.
-
Did he manager the two games before Dean came in? If so they were a waste, playing the same players, formation and tactics as BR. If he’s someone to call out the players for their on field decisions then all the better. If they pick Ayew and JV and allow them to play exactly the same way then nothing will change.
-
JV to dictate the walking football pace, ignore the unmarked wingers and keep passing to Ayew in the middle. Easy counter attacks all day for Charlton.
-
This with no walking football or playing themselves into trouble and Ricardo passing back to Okoli Get Page to drive forwards with the ball and Monga/Fatawu to be proactive. Maybe get them to watch a best of Mane/Salah YouTube video for inspiration.
-
I remember fast pressing and even Hamza at RB was high up the pitch overlapping and helping Fatawu. Then it all went to shit and we had to see Soumare and Ayew for weeks.
-
I think it will be the same dross, but I’ll be happy to be proven wrong. He should have good ideas on how to get the ball in the box and where players need to be, but I don’t know if King has the stones to deliver the hard truth that the players need to hear. They need to spend time asking the players in front of each other why they keep doing XYZ. If JV is starting and controls everything, nothing will change. No Ayew, no JV walking football, no wingers getting the ball on the halfway line and that should help the problems they cause themselves. We can’t see another absolute cowardly performance from Hamza and milquetoast passing from Ricardo. We all know Okoli can’t pass, yet the players around him set him up to fail.
