He could've passed to Nelson and then ran ahead into space. This is what frustrates me about the clown in charge. Hasn't drilled any tactics or discipline into this team. If the wingers can't take everyone on it gets sent back, rather than trying to work that area as a team.

And Mav having one of his games (every game) where he won't pass to the player next to him and then run into the space ahead. Greedy but then takes too long to do anything if he does get into a good position.

What is the point of Hamza. Won't run or pass forward with the ball but can move backwards with pace.

Apart from the tactics.

Our goal kicks and throw ins are like giving away free kicks. Especially as the pass was on first time to the winger. We take 10 sideways passes to then try and loft the ball to Thomas who passes back to Jakob, who then boots it out.

We've all seen his tactics, he's not smart enough to think of that. He's just crap.

Another game watching Ayew play everywhere apart from in front of goal. I can't stand watching him hobble around with his bulldog licking piss face after the ref hasn't given him a free kick for cheating.

It’s frustrating that all he does is rotate players rather than change anything on the pitch. He is accepting the actions of blockers like Ayew and Thomas as well as leaving the wingers stranded and allowing them to be greedy and lazy. Nelson seems to have formed a habit the last few games of leaving high balls, letting them bounce and ending up gifting the strikers a chance. All the defence seem content with backing up and allowing cross or shot in the box, even if they are last man. Jakobs flapping and directing the ball back to the danger area doesn’t help anyone.

Ricardo and Hamza will make zero forward passes so JV & son can constantly pass to Ayew or Daka to not control, and we get hit on the counter. If JV plays he has to make up for his fault last time. Unable to shoulder barge a player half his size.

I would rather have Reid up front rather than Daka and have Page behind. I don't think Daka has the right to call himself a forward anymore. There is no point playing Daka if they are going to pass the ball to him with his back to goal and expect him to control it. A pass to Daka is like giving away a free kick. Reid at least knows where to be in the box and can shoot on target onside and out the box. Nothing will change on the pitch with this clown in charge. He will play Ayew, Thomas and it wouldn't surprise me if he brings Soumare back in.

If he can transfer a clue about football, tactic and the opposition then that will be great. He can’t manage these players and sets them up to fail and doesn’t change anything the next game. I have zero faith any player he gets in, especially ones he identifies, will actually make a difference. Wr need a manager who can tell a player to run with the ball, pass, run ahead to receive that pass and then cross the ball to a forward that hasn’t dropped to the wing or midfield. Something that 23 teams have done to us with ease. Marti is beyond a dud. If he was in any other industry he would either be in a PIP or not passed his probation.

Every time Thomas passed the ball to Monga he slowed down then passed it behind so he had to stop. It’s like he’s never watched a high level full back and even tried to imitate. Whats frustrating is we constantly get opened up by simple 1-2s. Marti never sets up the team to attempt them, otherwise he would be going metal when Thomas stands still and Mav/Ayew never pass the ball. At some point you realise your tactic doesn’t work and think if you can’t beat them, join them. Not our brain trust in charge of tactics.

We would also need a manager to understand that a fullback can cross the halfway line and the winger is allowed to play a 1-2. I really don't know what they do all week in training. As always JJ does the hard work, gets in a position where Fatawu just has to run forwards into space but he stands still, the same with Thomas who constantly passes behind the winger and the only support he offers is to send it backwards. Even in the dying seconds he got the ball and plenty of time to criss, he passes backwards to someone else. Ayew was everywhere apart from close to the goal. This team likes to overplay and under think yet our goal came from quick forward passes and running into space.

It must be horrible as a winger playing with Thomas. Always takes an age to pass behind the player so they have to stop and never offers support

Does Fatawu know that he is allowed to run into space ahead when JJ has the ball.

Page. Daka can’t, Ayew doesn’t want to so the best option is the known unknown.

And they have looked dodgy once the revert to possession passing around the back. Thomas and Ayew are the bottlenecks in this team, along with the slow backwards invite the press until Jakob hoofs it. Quick, positive attacking works. Slow sideways and boring doesn’t.

Lazy and thick. He wants to play everywhere other than near the goal. Our left hand side and Ayew is our biggest weakness and stinks everything out too often

Avoid Ayew in the build up. He looks like he’s in that mood where all he wants to do is dive and complain.
