  1. As much as I love Andy King, Matty James was miles better when we won the Championship and miles better during the Great Escape. He should be miles better if he comes back to us in the summer too.
  2. Would be awesome to have as a squad player. While fully fit, why can't he push Drinky for a starting spot? He might push Drinky on further as well. Could be win-win for the club to have him back involved.
  3. Awful pundit. Talks like a small child on 5 Live.
  4. Okazaki is this season's Kanté but hopefully next summer's Vahrez (as in, he doesn't leave).
  5. Vardy needs a rest. He'll come back into the side firing on all cylinders after another couple of games starting from the bench. So Slim and Okazaki for me.
  6. I'm not sure if they have afforded us much yet. There are still 4 games to go and we play Copenhagen in the next 2 matches and Porto meet Brugge twice in a row too. Copenhagen got a very good point in Portugal and hammered Brugge in their other game. Our 2 Copenhagen games could be very tight indeed. It's feasible that we could lose them both by a single goal and for Porto to comfortably beat Brugge in both games, leaving us in third place with 2 games to go. I know that's a pessimistic scenario but I think these Copenhagen games are crucial: they're our nearest rivals at present. What all this means in terms of which game to favour out of Chelsea away and Copenhagen at home, and whether Mahrez starts ahead of Gray in one and vice versa in the other is anyone's guess. Personally I think Ranieri will start Mahrez and Albrighton in both.
  7. One game he's brilliant, the next he's out of his depth, or so some people would have us believe. Clearly he needs to learn his trade. Playing regularly for the champions at his age is going to be tough. How many other players of his age are putting in top performances every week for huge sides? Not too many I'd bet. But we're playing him because he's better than everybody else who's currently available. Maybe that will change when Mendy's fit. I think we need a system change to protect Amartey in the big games. His confidence must be taking a bashing being the scapegoat for every game we get hammered in.
  8. Nice little article by Eni Aluko: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36151658 There's nothing about Leicester and Ranieri we didn't know already, really, but the info about the mentality of being near the top and challenging for trophies is interesting.
  9. Quinn is absolutely nicking a living, like a lot of TalkShite pundits. Not sure anyone takes him seriously.
  10. Well that's my favourite quote about us of the day. Quality.
  11. Chappers, some other journo, Jenas and Charlie Adam were all very complementary earlier on 5 Live. They all essentially agreed with Pulis. When the whole country wants you to win, instead of expecting you to, it isn't pressure, it's incentive. Those boys must be feeling 10 feet tall right now. I'm loving every minute of it.
  12. Do we need to combat this 'formula' with a slightly different approach? What's the best way for us to cope with it? That article mentioned that we like to play narrow and Alex Neil set up his Norwich side to stifle the way we attack in this way. If Mahrez and Albrighton swapped wings, we would increase the width and hopefully give us more chance of breaking down teams like Norwich who have a game-plan to let us have the ball and invite us to play through them. An alternative would be to put Mahrez in the middle and have Albrighton on the right and Schlupp on the left, providing Schlupp is fit enough to play from the start. As much as I love him, could sacrificing Okazaki for the first 60 minutes or so be an option?
  13. If that report is right, that was a record crowd at the Etihad. If true, it's more evidence that we are MASSIVE!
  14. Best fans in the country. No question.
  15. Evening all, I've been a City fan since I first grasped the concept of supporting a team. Born at the Royal in '86, I grew up in Knighton and attended two great schools and one not-so-great school in the area. Here are a selection of my Leicester City memories: First City memory: Leicester City 3 - 4 Swindon Town (aet) - 1993 First Division Playoff Final First City joy: Derby County 1 - 2 Leicester City - 1994 First Division Playoff Final First real disappointment: Brian Little taking over at Aston Villa Favourite City moment: shared between (a) Claridge's shinner vs. Palace in the 1996 First Division Playoff Final and (b) Heskey's equaliser vs. Middlesborough to earn a replay in the 1997 Coca Cola Cup Final (as watched on a gloriously sunny day in the Firs pub in Wigston). Favourite player: Emile Heskey (can't beat a local lad come good). Favourite overseas player: Kasey Keller - extravagant, eccentric, but reliable and supremely talented. Least favourite player: DJ Campbell - no humility and a poor attitude towards the club. Lowest City moment: relegation to League One in 2008. Favourite kit: shared: 1994-95-leicester-away-shirt-2742-1.jpg
