1. If you're going to continue to go down that road then I have no sympathy. Sure, we don't know exact numbers, but by using your own eyes it's pretty apparent literally everybody on earth knows a good estimate of the numbers. A, because it's not my opinion - I was comparing what has happened in Amsterdam to how you appear to feel about gaza and all who live in it and B, incredibly disingenuous from somebody who has evidently spent a year trying to explain how its fair game for all Palestinians to be bombed to fook, displaced and have their towns flattened for erm...being Palestinian?.

I'm not surprised Co op are failing Co Op on London Road is a free for all. I see the same 4 or 5 characters rob it blind most weeks at some point. The other week a lad filled two baskets and staff just told him to hurry up and get out. They got rid of the security guy in the end because he wasnt allowed to challenge theives so it was pointless. The staff just routinely ask them to leave and let them take the goods, said they do nothing about it if it’s under £500 worth. Also said they are targeted about 4 times a day and lose about £7,000 a week. That's not sustainable. Exactly the same at the small Tesco near the Abberdale pub too I'm told.

If you're happy with the numbers, which you've repeatedly shown over the last year, in that the murder of 1000 is fairly met with the murder of 45,000 and the ethnic cleansing of over a million people in Northern Gaza then you should be fine with what happened in Amsterdam. A small group of Israelies battered an Arab taxi driver and set fire to a Palestine Flag, the following night the locals retaliated by battering a tonne of Israelis. Perfect justification and completely fair if we are going by your take on Gaza.

When I started back running I was 11st and thought I was reasonably fit - I wasn't, I was blowing out of my arse on a lap around the block and was walking within a few minutes. It's part and parcel and we've all been there. I think even the reasonably fit people taking up running forget how difficult running actually is when they lace the shoes up for the first time. In a similar state a couple of years ago I was asked to cover for an indoor 5-aside one week (having not played any football for a good few years), I thought yeah, no probs, see you at 7. I was literally ready to throw up after about 5 minutes, felt seriously done in and on the verge of a heart attack, I spent the next 50 minutes in goal, out of choice. We've all been there. Props to you for getting cracking and putting the effort and dedication in. One thing I will say is don't do so much treadmill that it kills your running spirit before you get a chance to run outside because running outdoors, no matter the fitness level, is infinitely more enjoyable in my book. Mentality more than anything running outside has been a gift for me, even on those runs where I get 5 minutes in and think '**** this, I'm blowing, I'm hating every second' once I've finished I always feel glad I bothered to get it done and feel better for doing it. Edit: if you are self conscious, go out running in the dark. I run early mornings in the dark and the only other people I see are runners and dog walkers. At night I guess it's more busy out but you'll probably find people tend to keep their eyes on the pavement at night. Alternatively, when my missus went through a running phase she was worried about running around the local area because she didn't want anybody she knew seeing her huffing and puffing, so we'd drive out to some quite country lanes and gated roads in Peatling and there was rarely anybody about - added bonus was enjoying nature and fresh air at the same time.

**** what other people think mate. You won't get any shit from other runners guaranteed and thus if you get stick from anyone else, ask yourself, are they running? Are they trying to better themselves? Probably not. It's easy to snigger, it ain't easy to put in the graft and do the running.

Hate this. When I'm running on my own I nearly always have headphones on because the sound of my own huffing and puffing psychologically makes me feel more nakard than I actually am.

I didn't mean it in a negative way against old people - what I mean is, modern medicine is fantastic, but it's also keeping people alive much longer than the human body was designed for. This creates an enormous and growing pressure on the NHS as the population ages.

Too many old people and that issue is only set to get worse. Part of fixing the NHS is going to be a complete overhaul of social care, without that, the NHS will always be utterly over-run. If you can get people out of hospital into the places they actually need to be to receive proper care (IE, better care homes, better in-home care, better mental health services etc) then you could free up so much bed space.
